Add-on Title question

I am considering adding on a 50 point contract. Do the names on the title have to be the same as on my first contract? I would like to be able to add my adult kids so they can take advantage of some of the DVC perks.

Add-ons must be titled exactly the same. If you add names to the title, you will be purchasing a new contract. You could purchase a smaller resale and title it however you choose, but it will be a separate contract number even if it is the same UY as your other contract.

You'll need to go through the legal process of retitling your existing contract if you want to add your adult children to that contract.

Or you could buy direct and then change the title yourself for under $50 and not that hard. It's still be separate but could be cheaper depending on the resort in question. Or you could change your current contract, then add on. If adding adult children has value to you, do a 25 point contract, change the title yourself and then just link reservations out of it OR transfer the points EY to your current contract. We had 2 separate contracts and changed the deed a year and a half ago on one which is actually 4 because it's 4 of the 25 point contracts at AKV.
