Can the experts give me the basics of a small add-on? I am thinking of 50 points so I could get Disney financing. We moved less than a year ago so a home equity loan is not possible right now. We have great credit and am sure Mickey would approve us.

I believe the current deal is $92 at the sold-out resorts? How does this compare to buying 50 at Saratoga? Does anyone have experience with a 50-point add-on? That isn't many points but I am good at stretching them and I think the 50 would make a big difference!

Finally, how hard is it to manage points at 2 resorts? I would like to have some OKW points but my current points are at BCV. I think I'll drop dead waiting for points to open up there... I really love OKW and would like to have 11-month preference there, especially since 50 points at OKW buys you a LOT!

Any advice welcome. Thanks.

PS: Don't tell DH. He is blissfully ignorant of my nefarious plot :)

We just added 50 pts @ VWL. I was told for a 50 pt add on that you HAVE to have the same use year (which is much easier to keep track of anyway). You're banking deadlines will be the same for both resorts. We own at BCV, but like you didn't want to wait for an add on there and everything for my use year (June) was available a week ago. We paid $89/pt. We knew the price was going up. So I guess it is $92/pt now.

If you do an add on any place besides SSR it will be for 37 years (2042)..if you buy SSR you'll pay more per point but you get it for 12 more years. We didn't care about the extra years and bascially just wanted more points and not have to pay too much.

Colleen,
I have points at two resorts, BWV and OKW :goodvibes I began with 51 pts thru OKW, banking and borrowing so that I could stay there once every 3 years. It can be a nuisance to have 50 pts at a different resort, but I found that it worked better to bank and borrow--treating my 50 pts as a separate contract--than using BWV points, and trying to combine points from two resprts. I actually financed those points, believe it or not, than use the money in my savings. :earseek: I had worked so hard to save the money that I couldn't bear to spend it all...
