Hi!
We have the add on bug!! I can't find these answers so can someone please help?
We want to do a 50 point add on at SSR(currently own 150 SSR points)
What is the cost per point? Are there any incentives, like no dues till closing, money off per point? How much of a down payment is needed if you wanted to finance? Could we get the same use year?
Thanks for any help!

I don't know the answers to all your questions, but this will at least get you started and bump your questions to the top of the page.

Yes, you will get the same use year for your 50 point add on - in fact, it's the only way Disney will sell you an add on, LOL.

AFAIK, all of the current incentives require the add on to be at least 120 points. I'll let those with more recent add on experience correct me if necessary.

Best wishes-

We just did 50 point add on at Hilton Head. This is our home resort and they did have points in our UY available. It was 89 dollars per point and my down payment was a little over $900.00. I believe it is 20 %....Anyway, I think you can only do the sell back with the initial contract....Not sure, however, I did 2 add-ons and was never given that incentive after my original purchase.

If you have the Disney Visa, you can put your down-payment on that and have zero interest for 6 months.

Actually just spoke to my CM about this today, b/c I was thinking of doing the same thing. From what she told me, you can get all of the incentives if you purchased the 50 points EXCEPT the 100 extra developers points for the year.

So in other words, you will still get $8/point towards your downpayment (if you finance with DVC), and also DVC paying your dues for 2005.

Really??
Well, that's great news. I thought you had to do the 120 add on to get the $8 off. Well, if you can get the incentive for 50, I think I'm giving my guide a call tomorrow.

Okay, what did the guide say Athenna? Did you call him or her? I wanted to know the same thing!

Well, Tammy, I didn't call her yet. I spent most of my day off, crunching #'s doing some math, playing w/the point charts. (I know, I'm such a dork :rotfl: ) so by the time I decided I was calling her, it was too late at night :rotfl2:
I will be home from work by 6 tonight, and I am calling her then. If I know I want more points going forward, doesn't it make more sense for me to get them before the price goes up? Seems like a no brainer to me!
I'll let you know what happens!

Please do post the results. In the past, promotional discounts (the $8 off) did not kick-in until you added 100 points or more. If that has changed, it's useful information.
