We have a Contract at OKW with an April use year. We never have enough points - but Champagne and Beer Budget!

Let it be said - our preferred property is OKW and we may never go to another property. We just love OKW.

We are looking to get active in adding small (25 to 50) contracts over the next few years.

Utopia is simple: Small April use year at OKW. If you wait long enough you will get it - but - we may want to act sooner.

So, here is the question: What if I find a small Vero or HH contract?

Does it make sense on a different property contract to line up the April Use year or maybe Nov or Dec so the 7 month window lines up with the 11 month?

If you want to use the points for OKW at 11m booking, I would not add on at a different resort or different UY.

If you're booking at 7m, resort won't matter but UY will. For example you want a 150pt reservation. April UY has 100pts, Dec UY has 50. You either have to transfer points, which is limited to 1 time per UY, or borrow. If the last night happens to be 50pts, then you can book it as 2 separate reservations. Then link the reservations and hope you don't have to switch rooms

For a second home resort, I would not consider VB or HH unless you intend to stay there and use the 11m booking window at busy times. Both dues seem too high compared to the upfront savings when buying in. If all dues increase at the same pace, the savings from buy-in would be lost in a few years from the higher dues.

Personally I'd go with a different UY at OKW before I'd buy VB or HHI with the intent to only use at OKW. You would be able to have your home booking priority with all your points. You can either use them separately and link reservations or transfer all the points each year from the smaller contract to your larger. You would have to call to book with those points but wouldn't have to link reservations.

Contact your guide and let them know you are interested in 25/50 point contracts at OKW with April use year. Also do same with The Timeshare Store for resale contracts. Small resale contracts often go quickly so having an agent keeping an eye out for them can help.

I agree with others who said not to buy VB/HH contacts for your stated use.
