We just purchased a resale contract for SSR of 160 points U/y June ..I feel like that isn't enough points. So looking for another 100 point U/Y June contact. I found one at BLTi like but how does the 11 month window work? The 100 points will not be enough for a week..so could I use some SSR? Or is it silly to purchase to different homes?

You must wait until 7 months before you can use your SSR points at BLT.

It isn't silly to own at 2 resorts, you just have to remember that you cannot use "all" of your points together at a resort until the 7 month window.

For a 100 point contract, you could book up to 300 points at 11 months if you bank and borrow.

We own at 7 resorts including VB and HHI!

You can't use SSR for BLT at 11 months (otherwise everyone would buy a small desirable contract and a large cheap one)
Even if you transfer your SSR points to BLT contract they retain SSR for home resort advantage
If they are the same use year they combine seamlessly at 7 months if titled exactly the same way
You can bank and/or borrow to go to BLT every other or every 3 years or do a split stay each year

Only the BLT points can be used to make a BLT reservation prior to the 7 month window. You can use your SSR points at BLT when the 7 month window opens.

At 11 months, you can reserve as many nights at BLT as you have BLT points. Then at 7 months, you can add nights using your SSR points if there is availability for what you want.

Some members will bank and borrow to make a reservation within the home resort booking period. For example, if your stay costs 200 points, you could use 100 points from the current use year and borrow 100 from the next year. You would go to BLT every other year and use your SSR points in the "off" years.

I would wait and experience DVC and the different resorts. Then you can buy contracts at your favorite resorts that you have trouble booking at 7 months.
