I am looking to add on and will get the same UY as my current contract. I am looking at roughly 50 points and currently have the cash for 25. Am I better off getting 2 25 point contracts over the next 6 months or waiting 6 months and buying 1 50 point contract?

i would just buy one 50 pt contract (i'd almost certainly go resale). don't know if it matters a lot, though.

Unless you really need to use the points now, I'd do 50 in 6 months and look for a resale that works. Even if you decide to go retail, I'd still do 50 in 60 months unless they agree to waive the closing so you don't have 2 closings on the 2 times 25 points.
