The good news: We decided to take advantage of the $70 MB price on 100 points. The bad news: We are trying to change our new years reservations to stay at BCV. That where I am getting confused.

We currently have a one bed room at OKW(our first home) for December 30-Jan 5. Without the additional purchase, we had 88 points left on our use year. We now need a two bedroom instead. Our guide (Susie she is great) has held Dec 30-Jan 2 in a two bedroom at BCV. We can book it using this year's points at BCV(our new points) and borrowing next years. We cancel the OKW reservations until the 3rd. At the seven month window we attempt to switch to BCV for those last days. So far so good.

Now the question: at the seven month window--can I switch my current use year points at OKW for the 100 points borrowed on BCV points from next year?

No, once the points are borrowed, they have to remain in the current use year. In addition, you would have to cancel the reservation made with those points and anyone aready on the waitlist for those dates would have a chance to reserve your cancelled reservation before you could reserve using your OKW points. (You would be competing with other non-home members at 7 months. )

If there is availability at 7 months, you could do what you suggest without problem. The borrowed points would still have to be used in the current use year, but the current points could be banked- subject to normal banking deadlines.

Good Luck!

Not only will the borrowed OKW point get you but you can't just switch your points. If you want to switch, you must first cancel and the rooms go to the wait list first then you can book again with your BCV points if it's available AT THAT TIME.
