add on now or on trip?

Our guide just called with Jan incentives for AKV. We get $20 off per point when adding 100+ points, plus $500 Visa gift card. Would we get better incentives if we wait to add on when there in March. She says these incentives will run through end of Jan. Our dollar is $1.01 US now. Will we get a better deal in person in March?

If you are financing, or against resale.. (Which would be the cheaper way to go.) I think this one sounds pretty good. You never know for sure what is around the corner, but I would think this is pretty good.

You can always wait until the last week of a promo, and have them send you docs and hold them for 2 weeks to see what new promo is. It garentees the 1st but if the second is better and you haven't signed no sweat... Voila.. you can switch.

That puts it at around $95/ppt, which I don't think is bad compared to the ease of going through Disney vs. resale (although, if you found the right contract and were not in any rush, resale will be cheaper).

But, as PP stated, you could start the process right before the incentive ends and then see what happens in February.

The thing about waiting is that sometimes, incentives get better but sometimes they don't. IMO, you should buy based on whether or not you think $95/ppt is a good deal for you. If it is, go for it.

That's what we think. We'll probably wait until next week. With the dollar this good, that is as good as a discount, plus we'll use the $500 directly toward the purchase. We are very excited.

If you are financing, you will not receive the $500 gift card until your principle payment on the loan exceeds $500 which will take months if you are just paying the minimum loan amount.
