Short trip to disneyworld_ 4day 3 night stay with 2 day park tickets. Debating on adding 2 more days vs buying halloween party tickets. My self husband and 7 yr old boy. Opinions :)

If your 7 yr old can make it until midnight, I'd definitely recommend the party. It's a lot of fun and if there's one on your arrival day, I'd go that day.

Halloween adds one day assuming you don't want to enter MK until 4PM. That would ne my choice.

Halloween party tickets if you have never been. If you have been to the Halloween party before, then I would choose additional park days.

I don't know if he would make it till midnight. Two years ago 2015 Christmas party he was out by 9:30-yes I did have a stroller-had a feeling he would fall asleep. He will be 7 this year not sure if he will hold out till midnight. I'm thinking worse case maybe rent a stroller at park if he starts to get tired. (Maybe ridiculous to some). I suppose swim at resort wear him out then nap then party may help :)

Depends on when you plan to arrive and leave on the last day - and if your child sleeps while travelling. I agree with PP that if you arrive early enough and the party night is on the first night to do that. Then you have 2 full park days. Depending on when you leave on the last day, you could spend time in Disney Springs.

On the other hand, there's nothing that can't be cured by adding a park day or 2. (I should copyright THAT phrase for a t-shirt).

If it were me, I would choose additional park days. More days in Disney is always better. :)

I suppose I'm biased because I travel in party season and don't do the parties. We wear ourselves out just doing all the included things, that I feel comfortable not spending the extra for a party. Then I see reviews that sometimes it's pretty crowded or lines aren't all that low, or people feel like they need to do 2 parties to do all that's offered (trick or treat, characters, rides, parade, fireworks) and I feel pretty good about just doing more days in the park instead.
Add on that you're not sure your child will stay awake. Unless you and DH particularly love meeting characters (with or without an awake child in the pics!) and the fireworks enough to justify it, I'd go extra park days for sure.

Late night late start next day also.

Additional park days.

While I LOVE the Halloween party and think it's worth experiencing - last years insane party crowds while we were there have tainted my opinion.

Another vote for extra park days. The party was fun when we did it several years ago, but I would be more excited about 2 more days! :cool1:

Of all events I think the Halloween party is the best but given this choice I would opt for extra park days or a day in the parks plus a day in a water park. Water parks are cheaper. Your 7 year old would enjoy Typhoon Lagon or Blizzard Beach if open and the weather is good. Also consider for the money could you get an extra night in the hotel? I would want to see if the money would maybe get me an extra night in hotel and a water park day.
