Has anyone ever tried the American Diabetes Association quiz My Health Advisor?
You put in all your data and the Health Advisor spits out your chances of getting diabetes, having a stroke or having a heart attack. You can change variables and see how your risk goes up or down.
I took a former iteration of the test about 5 years ago, found out I had a 40% chance of getting Type II diabetes and lost some weight to reduce my risk. Well, I've picked up some weight and have had a hard time getting motivated again, so I went to the website and took the new version of the test. . .I have a 42% chance of eventually getting Type II diabetes at my current weight!
If I lose 10lbs I cut my risk to less than 20%.
If that doesn't get me to lose the extra weight I've put on the past year, nothing will!
