He was always one of my favorite vloggers in the Disney scene. But he was banned in 2013 and has just been allowed to come back into the World parks. Whats your thoughts on his older stuff? Did you think he over stepped boundaries or did you enjoy watching him break the Mickey Mouse code?

...Source? I've never heard of a trespass being reversed. Adam the Woo is a flaming idiot who consistently and repeatedly presented a danger to Cast and Guests despite warnings from management to stop trespassing backstage. He was told what the consequences of his actions would be, continued to break park rules, and was punished.

The source is his own social media. I mean the guy documents his entire life. He was on Snap Chat, Periscope, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube for 4 straights days and Disney did not attempt to go after him. The way he got caught initially was through stating where he was in the parks and security and the police arrested him on site. With as much social media documentation, he was displaying security could have caught him in a matter of minutes. He thoroughly went through the appeal process on a few of his videos on YouTube.

Sure, he may not be the best role model sneaking around the backstage (in the past) as WDW. He received his punishment and has clearly learned his lesson by not attempting to do it while at Disneyland (which he was only banned at WDW). In the end, the legal process eventually allowed him back on property. With his love for Disney, I seriously doubt he will go behind closed doors again.

Watching his videos from last week and in his past, you can see the sheer joy of being allowed back in the park.

I'd be interested to know exactly how he "consistently and repeatedly presented a danger to Cast and Guests". While I don't necessarily agree with his actions, I never saw a case where he was endangering anyone, except perhaps himself. If you're trying to imply that he was creating a danger to Cast because if he had harmed himself they would have had to put themselves in danger to rescue him, I'd say that's a pretty thin argument.

I'm quite happy he is back. He really did seem to learn from his past mistakes.

Agreed, the only person he is hurting is himself. If he were to get hurt 'behind closed doors' I am not sure if Disney could even be held liable because they do put signs to not enter. The only thing he really is doing is displaying the behind the scenes stuff of Disney. Disney is very big on you not bringing cameras or taking pictures behind the scenes because they don't want to be exposed, thus hurting their public image. It is Disney's private property and we are paying for the right to enter it. Adam The Woo disobeyed and was punished, I am pretty sure he has recovered from his punishment and will not do it again.

Have no clue what he did or didn't do as I've never even heard of the guy but guests in backstage areas is very dangerous. There are several backstage areas that CMs are trained for like around fireworks docks, roadways, machinery etc. I use to drive a pargo backstage at EPCOT doing rounds for my attraction. If a guest was back in those areas and didn't know to walk in the red line and I came around a blind corner I could have easily hit him or flipped my vehicle trying to avoid him. Could you imagine a guest in the fireworks areas? A CM has to put their life at risk to get them out safely. Same goes if he is just wondering backstage during parade time. It is hectic back there and people who have never been back there could easily get hurt with all that is going on or hurt someone else with low vision in some costumes and floats.

He generally went into abandoned areas such as River Country and Image Works. Urban explorers usually have no interest in places that are still in use.

He was pretty brilliant in how he handled it. He could've gone all out hate Disney, but he didn't. He rarely criticized the company, and rebranded himself as much more of a Disney event reviewer/Disney social media evangelist. He stayed enough in the public eye that WDW kept him on their radar, and in the end he got them to back down. Pretty well done on his part, and he retains a large fanbase which is great. The strange thing is why he's so excited about going to WDW when he lives mere miles from Disneyland Resort. I know I'd be less enthused about WDW if I could get to Disneyland all the time... That's just me.

Variety is nice though.

Briefly watching his video, I had to take note of how amazing the transportation setup is for building the suspense of the day going around Seven Seas Lagoon. It really just positions guests to have the maximum excitement possible, which is unique to WDW and should be treasured. Because while it's an amazing story telling tool, it does serve as a logistical nightmare for MK's continued growth moving forward. No Disney Resort since WDW has attempted such a setup. Not even Shanghai Disneyland with its own lake is setting up its Resort in that fashion, instead choosing to place the parking lot adjacent to the park. While Shanghai Disneyland will have a phenomenal introduction that looks like it will weave take guests lakeside near Disney Town, not even that is as ambitious as MK. I've really come to appreciate that design choice that makes MK seem like it rises out of the distance. Very cool.

I live less than 5 minutes from WDW and am going to DLR in a few weeks and couldn't be more excited. Part of that is that I consider DLR my home park, but they each have their own amazing points that I can't understand how someone wouldn't be excited to visit the other.

Oh if he was at River Country then yeah he is hurting no one but himself. Image Works I guess if people believe it is full of asbestos then you could say they are putting CMs at harm but since it is still used as a meeting location for full department training then there is no weight to that argument. It is just a nuance really and gives other guests the idea to try it. He must have been who caused the surge in warnings about going to Image Works when I was a CM. We use to try and get managers to take us up there and then all the sudden one day they told us that was no longer allowed and we were not to be caught up there.

I thought better of accidentally starting a Disneyland v. WDW debate. They both have strengths.
I wasn't trying to start an argument, sorry if it came off that way! Just trying to point out that proximity to one =/= lack of desire to visit another :)

Wish youtube would ban him.

I enjoy videos like his that give people a look behind the scenes.

What I don't enjoy is how he messes with / takes things he finds. I don't enjoy his baby talk. I don't enjoy it when he takes things like plucking a single guitar string and overlays it over his entire video. If he dropped the 5 year old humor and learned to leave things the way they were, I'd be a bit more of an advocate of his.

As it stands, he *was* a threat to the company based on the number of copy cat kiddies alone. I'm hoping the time he was banned leads him to approaching the property with a bit more respect.

Look, he is pretty much an advertiser for Disney, he loves Disney. He's proven that he's not going to go backstage anymore. Maybe before you assume, you should take two minutes and see how he visits Disneyland a few times a week and has caused no trouble. Instead you are being arrogant are assuming that he has not changed his ways. Watch thedailywoo channel on YouTube. Also lets not over exaggerate how exactly is he a "danger" the lesson to be learned is take two minutes to research, before making not true comments. Thanks.

Wow - nothing like a little hyperbole to excite the DISBoards, eh? Of course he knew he wasn't supposed to be in some of the places he went, but that didn't make him a danger to anyone. He got punished for it, but had he been a legitimate danger to anyone, do you really think Disney would have let him back into WDW? Uh...nope. They know he is a huge fan, and they know that his videos and support only provide free advertising for the parks. Not every WDW fan is the average mom, dad, two and a half kids, golden retriever and a cat. There is a huge community of not-so-traditional fans out there who spend a butt-ton of money at WDW...and Adam is their king....and Disney knows it. It's good for Disney to have Adam back in the parks.
