How much time should I allow to get through security?

This is my first time flying out of ACY. My flight is at 6:40am and it's going to take me about and hour and a half to arrive at the airport. I already have my boarding pass. I guess I just need to figure out the time frame from parking to security to the gate.

What time is boarding? It should be printed on your boarding pass. We usually get to the airport no later than an hour before the flight is taking off. If you're really running late, ask security if they'll let you to the front of the line. It's a very small airport, with just Spirit Airlines and AirTran but at that time of the morning there are a handful of flights going out, making it their busiest time. Save the parking ticket and be sure to pay in the machine in the garage when you return (don't leave it in the car.) ACY is the easiest and quickest airport to park and get through security. We love it.

I hadn't thought of that, we fly with carry-ons. Yes, give yourself plenty of time checking luggage. This is why we only fly carry-ons because you could easily wait an hour just to check luggage. There is no curbside check-in.

Other than that, if you're holding a boarding pass and no checked luggage, all you have to do is go through security, which is a breeze.

My daughter goes to school in Orlando and when she travels back and forth she has a carryon and purse. I literally drop her off at the door, watch her go through security from my car, and she's boarding the plane 5 minutes later. Atlantic City is so smooth flying in and out of.

There is very little to eat there. At that time of the morning they might have a bagel or muffin available at the counter upstairs. If you find you're really early, stop at the WaWa store on the circle (roundabout) before pulling into the airport entrance. You can special order breakfast sandwiches and pick up any snacks for the flight, foot traffic at that hour is really light you can easily just pull in, park at the door, and pull out.

I was going to stop at the one near me and just eat in the car on the drive there but maybe stopping at the one near there might be better. I will see what I am like with time in the a.m. GPS says it's 1hr & 28min from my door to the airport.
