What kind of fun activity would you recommend doing on a non-park day? We’ll also be moving from one resort to another on that same day?

Traveling in mid-March with a 4 & 10 year old kids.

You could do resort hopping and check out any of the Easter/spring decorations that may be up. They typically do fancy chocolate eggs and stuff like that in the lobbies.

Will you have a car?

Yes, we’ll have a car.

Yes, we’ll have a car.
Cool. That makes life easier for a non-park day! Check out the Boardwalk and walk around while visiting each of those hotels to see their decorations. Get a snack or drink and just relax. That's what I would do with my kids in similar age range. They also love pools and since we live in the Northeast, they don't get that too often. So, I'd probably spend a chunk of the day by the resort pool.

Sounds fun. We’ve never took the time to just stroll around doing nothing in particular but this would be a day for that.

In pre-Covid times, we enjoyed AKL on non-park days. We went back recently, and the animals are great...but we missed the activities. We have started Foot Golf at the Oak Trail Disney Golf course on our non-park days lately. Its fun and pretty easy, our entire family enjoys. It's considered a "plus" visit on our water park and more tickets. We have 6 park days and 6 plus days, that we usually use at the waterparks....but have started using them on mini golf and foot golf. We also like to rent a canoe over at Fort Wilderness, or try the Hidden Mickey hunt at Wilderness Lodge. Have a great trip!

I didn’t realize canoe rental was open! That’s great. What is the Hidden Mickey hunt? Is it exploring the hotel?

What is foot golf?

Which resort are you staying at? I know BLT still offers the Family Craft Activity Center. So check out the resort activities guide at both of the resorts you are staying at.
Fort Wilderness has a lot of outdoor activities.

My husband enjoys going to Disney Springs on our down day; I don't.

I like to hang out at whatever resort we are at and swim and sight-see.

We have since combined the two. We will go eat at DS and spend some time in some of the stores he likes, then we return to swim and hang out at the resort.

staying at AKL, moving to Poly. So our non-park day is that day that we move.

Relax and enjoy one last morning at your new resort. Find a nice brunch spot. Walmart run. Check in at your new resort and enjoy some pool time.

I don't like doing anything on my down days and absolutely no schedule. Sleep late, long breakfast/brunch/lunch whichever was available once I got up and started moving around and pool time. Before C19 I would visit a park late in the evening at my leisure and just enjoy the sites and sounds of the park. No agenda or schedule.

My day off is always spent sleeping in, then we order doordash brakefast. We go to the pool.
In the afternoon we go to Disney springs and have dinner at trex cafe.
Last October we went fun spot America orlando.
My kids had so much fun riding rides and go carts with little to no lines. They also gave gators there that you can feed. Groupon had all you can ride tickets for $49 if adults are not riding they are free.
