Activities While in Port

Our first and only Disney cruise was @ 2 years ago. Can anyone tell me if on the Magic the pool area/slide is open while in port? Also, we are doing a 5 day out of Miami. Is there a formal nite or dress up nite. If so does anyone recall which night of the cruise it is? Day 4 appears to be the Pirate Night. Thanks folks!

Don't know specifically about the Magic, but the Dream and Fantasy pools, slides, and Aqua Duck were open on port days and were wonderfully not crowded.

We are doing a 5 day on the Magic, and our semi-formal night is the second night as far as I know.
