Hi Everyone,
I'm new here, so bear with me please.
I want to first say that I think this site is fantastic!

Can anyone give me tips on special activities for a 9yr. old boy?
I'm going to WDW from June 24th-July 2nd.
I've booked a Princess Royal meal for my 6 yr. old daughter,
and I'd like to find something for my son.
I was thinking of the pirate ship experience,
but I've been told that it was kind of boring for 9-10 year olds.

Can anyone comment on this or offer other ideas?

Thanks so much.

What about a day at Disney Quest? I am taking my 7yo DS, but not until the end of the trip, I'm not sure how I would ever get him to do anything else!!! My DD is 9 and she is that way about the pool. "Oh mom, do I really have to get out of the pool and go to the Magic Kingdom?" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
princess: Oh to be young, at Disney and have no worries. That's why we're going back!!!

Hi,
Thanks for the information.
I checked this out and I'm sure my son would flip to spend some time here.
It would be a great choice on a rainy day too.

The pirate cruise is alot of fun and your ds and dd could do it together while you and your husband have lunch.

I am just back from a trip with DS11 and DS7 (almost 8). They absolutely loved Disney Quest, the water parks, and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Review. I didn't expect them to like Hoop as much as they did, but they are still talking about it. We visited Disney Quest 3 times. After my husband arrived for our last three days, the boys had to show him everything. We stayed at DQ from 3pm to 11pm on Friday, April 8th. I would highly recommend going early in the day. The lines for several of the virtual reality games (Pirates of the Caribbean, Alien Invasion, Cyberspace Mountain, and AstroBlaster) can get long.

Disney Quest is a Disneyfied arcade of sorts. It is much better than a regular arcade-- but it's the same concept.
If he likes the water then possibly the waterparks. My son could spend an entire day in the wave pool at TL. It is his absolute most favorite thing in all of WDW.
