Just purchased points at VGF and received our letter on Friday from DVC giving us our membership number and saying our welcome package would be arriving in 10 days-2weeks. I tried to go online and register, but apparently I also need an activation code. Is this something I can get from Member services or do I need to wait for my package to arrive? Does anyone know if they're open on the weekends? Thanks!

Call the number for MS and select option #6 (Web Tech Support). They can assist you with setting up access to DVCMember.com.

Same thing with me. I called Monday and was able to get my member number didn't know anything about an activation code so I called back and they told me it is typically 4-6 weeks before they send out all the information! Is this true? I'm wondering how I'm going to pay my dues by the due date if this is the case.

I bought direct for VGF, the activation code came in a e-mail the next day after saying yes to the sales rep. We hadn't even received the closing package yet. We waited until the closing package came to get the member number and had to find the old e-mail.

I closed 2 weeks ago with a 3rd party. I was told today by Member Services that I was in the system but without a Member number they couldn't talk to me.

Is there anyone I can talk to at Member Services that will give me a member number and activation code? Can Accounting Dept or Member Administration help me? I am way too impatient to wait for snail mail. They told me that it could take 2-3 weeks and things are booking quickly for the time period we want to go. With technology of today there has to be another way!!

Did you buy direct? If so you have to wait until you close to get your activation code. Takes about 10 days. If you bought resale you have already closed and can call for it.

Is this new?

When we bought direct, we paid our deposit, they gave us our info the next day and our guide booked our first reservation. Our guide then transferred me to MS who walked me through our codes and using the website. We closed weeks later and received our recorded deed months later.

Must be. They wouldn't give us access to the website until the time we had to change our minds had passed and we had closed. We did make a booking by phone though.

We did the DVC tour and purchased our points at VGF on 12/7, the day we checked out, so we were in a rush and they mailed us the rest of the paperwork to sign. We received the paperwork, WITH OUR ACTIVATION CODE, on 12/10 and were able to make our first reservation on 12/11. Maybe they just sent it earlier since they were sending the paperwork already but we got it pretty quick.

We purchased direct on 11/3 on DCL Fantasy. Signed papers the next day and left meeting with all paperwork including activation codes. I was able to make reservations for 10/30 as soon as the 11month window opened with no problem. We closed 12/3.
