Activating PHP Question

Just wondering how this works. Here is my situation:

We will arrive in WDW on a Monday. We have 5 day PHPs. We will not be activating them until the Tuesday so we have them Tuesday through Saturday. We are staying at AKL and will be taking the Sunrise Safari at AK on Tuesday morning. Our PHPs will not be active yet. After the Sunrise Safari, do I take our PHPs somewhere near the front gate to activate them? Has this situation ever happened to anyone else? Will I need to show my PHPs to get into the park - from what I understand we will be going in before the park is open - around 7:45am.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

PHP's (Park Hopper Plus tickets) do not require any activating. Just insert then into the gate turnstile and away you go.

what do you mean "activating?" It's been a while since I used a PH, but I believe they are already active when you buy them. Also, they last longer than five calendar days. They do not expire until you have used them to get into a park on five different days and used the pluses. That is, they could conceivably be good for years and years.

Yes, the concierge staff will check your ticket media before you go on the Sunrise Safari. Have fun; it's a great experience!

Only Seasonal, Annual and Premium Annual passes bought at TDS require activating. However, if you bought your PHP online, you will receive green hard plastic cards. These are NOT good for admission into the parks, and must be changed into park tics at either a ticket booth, or guest relations before you may enter the park.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

There are others that require exchanging a voucher for tickets (FITS, 10 day WH, etc). And AP/PAP's get vouchers when purchased from anywhere except in person in the state of FL, not just from TDS.

Don't know where you got this from. Standard tickets like PH's and PHP's ordered from Disney whether online, by phone or by mail are processed the same way and the actual tickets are sent to the person, not vouchers. The only thing that gets a voucher every time when ordered that way is an AP/PAP/SAP. Disney's operating costs would increase dramatically if they started sending out vouchers for PH's and PHP's.
