Activating AP and Memory Maker

i need some clarification on this timing. I believe I read if you decide to purchase MM close to your stay or on sight, there is a delay on MM working for the entire trip.

If I purchase an AP or upgrade tickets (that MM was not purchased) and then activate the AP, is MM retroactive?

Secondly, if your purchase the MM with your park tickets, then upgrade to the gold AP, does the extra you pay for the MM go towards the difference in price you pay for your AP upgrade? If this is the case, I would just purchase the MM to solve the problem (the reason this is an issue at all is I am using a free dining bounce back a couple of days prior to checking in at SSR).

There is a 3 day delay if you buy MM when you get there.

When we "upgraded" our AP to the gold one the photos were retroactive for download.

MM is a separate product and will not be used towards the price of the AP. I'd just skip the MM and upgrade your ticket at the park.

Yes, it's retroactive as long as the pictures are still available. I upgraded to a Gold AP in February and our Oct an Dec pictures were there. Last May was not though.
