So I have a 10:30 ADR @ BOG our first park day. We plan on getting into Orlando the night before and staying off site that night only. Is there a way to use our magic bands and tickets to RD before our reservation without going to our resort first?

Use On-line Check in.

Indicate that you will arrive about 9AM.

Your tickets on your MBs will be active and ready without ever going to the resort front desk. Your room number will be sent to you later that day, as well.

I just asked about this a few weeks back so I now have the answer! :D I was also told if you go to the Ticket Center at MK, they can activate the tickets on your package before you check into the resort. Just head over there first thing and they'll hook you up!

Sorry, but that can only be done on the days BEFORE your check in day.

If it's going to be on your actual check in day, just use the on-line method (and that can be done weeks in advance.)

Thanks, Robo!

I thought that online check in was more like a pre-registration and I would still have to go to the counter or the curb side. Is this wrong?

Yes, that is wrong.
On-line check in can now fully take the place of desk check in.

Well, good to know.

One more question. I am traveling with another family. Do you have any idea if we are more likely to get adjoining or adjacent rooms if we desk check-in instead of online? I know nothing is guaranteed and we already have the request with our reservation.

Kind of a moot point. If you don't use on-line check in, you won't get to do what you wanted at the park.

There is a place on your on-line check in for special requests.

Also, you can phone the reservation line and see if you can get the room request handled in advance.
