Acne

Benzaclin didn't work for me.... :confused3 Well, everyone's skin is different. I guess I just have to find something that works for me.

guurrrr.
it doesn't hurt unless i prick them or catch them or pick them.
it can get really bad:(
i think i must have tried every cream and wetwipe going plus tablets for it.
nothing works:(
oh and one cream burnt my skin off :]]
that was fun.
so yes i hate acne

I would buy the generic walmart version instead, it's cheaper and works the same.

it depends it is worth giving it a try i meanf every one is different because my cousin uses proactiv and it works for her but on the other hand i tried it and it nothing what so ever for me so now i am using something from wal-mart.
everyone is different so we can give you tips and ideas but you wont get a staight answer

I don't have it really, but I do get the occasional pimple.

Proactiv works wonders for me. :)

ohh I'm sorry.
that must be a pain in the neck like you wouldn't believe.
my friends say I hit the genetic lottery because I don't have acne.
neither of my parents did,and I don't either.
but,I do get the occasional pimple every now and then.
it sucks.

same with me except my mom had acne but my dad didn't, i do get the every now and then pimple though. I hope everyone who suffurs from this horrible epidemic feels relief soon.:goodvibes

I don't really have acne that badly. But when I do break out, it's horrible. I get HUGE pimples all over my forehead and sometimes my nose. I don't use anything special for it, just acne wash and an acne gel, and it works fine for me. What I really have a problem with is blackheads. I have them all over on my T zone, and nothing I use seems to make them go away.

I get a few pimples here and there, but overall I don't have bad acne. My best friend has it pretty bad (its also on her back), and she's tried soooo many things.

ProActive Solution is like pixie dust in a bottle! It grants your wish of removing acne! :goodvibes I love it!

(This is a little wierd but once you get rid of acne or just want smooth skin; mash up a banana or two up really good. Smear it on your face so it distibutes equal amounts (but make it a thin-ish layer but not too thin. Leave it on until your face feels like its tightening. Wash out with warm water. Your face turns out soooooooooo smooth!)

Thanks for all the advice, but for some reason I'm not really comfortable asking to go to any doctor. Luckily, mine comes and goes in random phases of maybe a few weeks or a month or two when it'll be unbearable, and then all of a sudden clear (mostly) up without any sort of cleaning or medicine at all. It seems to be clearing slightly now, so I'm most likely good for a while. (Unless, y'know, it comes back. heh.) Though, I really should be cleaning my face every day with the special soap, but I keep forgetting. :sad2:

If you're not cleaning your face with any soap right now, maybe it would be best to just use a soft soap like a bar of Dove. So you don't forget, you could put the soap right next to your toothbrush and start considering it part of your morning routine.

Oh, and it's best to use warm water. Using really HOT water, or really COLD water can make your skin super-sensitive and give you a blotchy complexion. It's a common misconception that hot water is best for washing your face. Also, you should probably avoid sudden temperature change in the water you're using. Switching immediately from hot to cold water can be too much for your skin to handle.

My derm. [granted this is the one who gave me meds to make my face sunburn everyday] says that washing your face with barsoap isn't good for it. I forgot his reasoning, but I remembered that. I wash my face every morning in the shower while I'm washing the rest of me...then I put my pimple cream and stuff on.

regular bar soap drys out my face.

I wash my face with a cleanser when I'm in the shower.

Yeah, I've never used bar soap to wash my face, but some of my friends use it and they say it works for them. If you're dermatologist said not to use it though, then I'd toss the bar idea and get an oil-free facial cleanser instead.

Oh, I refuse to use bar soap. My mom has to get me the liquid soap.
And I only use a certain brand, cetaphil.

Haha, I'm picky lol

Agreed. I don't have horrendous acne, but my occasional pimples last forever. ProActiv dries them out pretty quickly, and I haven't gotten zits in awhile.

I use Clean & Clear.
It's fine.
It's made for your face.
I will never put a bar of soap on my face.
Ever.
