Ack! Rice cakes...

<Pthat!> How does anyone eat these? My regular soup bar at the deli counter ran out of the free, little packets of croutons & crackers they give with soup. So they gave rice cakes out instead. It was like filling my mouth with DRY, fluffy Styrofoam!

Mmmmm, I love them! We never buy them though cuz I'll eat the whole package in a sitting. But not with soup, they are all wrong for soup.

I think the only reason anybody eats them is that they have a lot less calories than other foods. Seriously.

There are some with interesting flavors, like cheddar cheese, caramel apple, chocolate chip, etc. They are OK ... but only if you are using them as a low calorie substitute for the real thing!!!

I never have understood the function of the rice cake. Unless you smear them with cream cheese or peanut butter, they're basically useless.

Rice cakes are palatable only when smothered in sausage gravy...

Honey graham ones are delicious, but they are harder and crispier than the puffy ones. Chocolate chip ones are good, too.

I like rice cakes. Plain! I also like the mini ones that they make in the different flavors. They are a great snack!

I like them with peanut butter on them.

I've tried several different "flavors". The all tasted the same. It was like trying to eat sawdust. Blech!

I like the cheddar ones and the kids love the caramel ones, or they may be the corn cakes
