I have had this trip planned for months and months! I had it planned to have 6:05 ADR at Kona, followed by a monorail loop ride, followed by the Electric Light Pageant parade, followed by Wishes.

I *just realized that there is no 9pm Wishes tomorrow night! Ack!! With a 6:05 ADR we can't even manage to squeeze in a viewing of the 6pm Wishes before dinner. :::sigh::: I don't guess there would be any sense even trying to change our ADR for say...6:30?

Am I missing something? Is there a place in the lobby-ish area of the Poly to view Wishes while waiting for our 6:05 seating?? :confused3

You can view Wishes from the beach at the Poly, but its not near Kona which is inside main building. You will not hear the music or soundtrack, only see the fireworks(unless you are at the concierge lounge in Hawaii building!).

Okay, thank you! I did call and there are no other ADR's available except two at 9pm (if anyone is interested in a very late night at Kona tomorrow!!).

Oh well, a small glitch but won't diminish our fun.

On the 2nd floor of the GCH there is a huge picture window from which you can clearly see Wishes, and the music is piped in, too, though it's tough to hear over the generalized din in there. If you check in at your seating time or a little before, you will receive one of those vibrating buzzers that will work over by that window. Feel free to tell the host when you check in that you hope to watch Wishes. I'd bet they'll work with you. I don't know if that buzzer works down at the beach.

I would show up around 5:50 and explain to the hostess that you'd like to step out to see Wishes on the beach and check in after the show. It's worth a shot. and the beach is a WONDERFUL place to see Wishes. It certainly seemed to me I was able to hear the music and narration but it might have been drifting over from MK.

We've had so so wait service at Kona over the years but the hostesses there have always been wonderful and accommodating.

Okay, I am sure it's dizzy DIS brain from packing all day...but please can you tell me what GCH is? :confused3

GCH is the Grand Ceremonial House. It's the main building at the Poly where check in and the restaurants are.
