Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

:rotfl: I'm at work trying not to LOL at your boat story! You're so funny! Your first batch of the Disney giggles!

What do you think the dream team is looking for? A certain code word or something? Maybe only people wearing purple underwear? Who knows!

You have such a great "rude people" attitude! Dave and I always say, "Oh, we must be wearing our invisible clothes today!" These will be the same people who come home and complain about what a horrible trip they had!

Great installment! Sounds like you guys have fun no matter what the circumstance!

Great update Tracy! I too am always exhausted once I get to Disney because I try and do too much before leaving - you'd think we'd learn by now! :rolleyes1

We ran into a dream team member in Magic Kingdom and he tried talking to Samantha. She was being shy and not saying too much. When he left I explained to her who he was and that we could've won something if she talked to him! ;) Not true I know but I was trying to get her to not be so shy. :)

What a great installment Tracy! No matter how much you plan out your trip, that extra unexpected hour of sleep is the best.

My BF gave in for a manual wheelchair at EPCOT, and I was pleasantly surprised how many rides were wheelchair accessible. I liked more how the CMs drove the wheelchair onto the ride, something I am not so talented at.

Living with the Land is one of my absolute favorite things to do at WDW. I've always been able to walk on and I love looking at all the cool things they're growing there! The only thing is, the ramp to get inside is insane! And once inside, the ramp to go to the elevator is steep. I almost lost control and took some people out!

That's so funny about the Mexican pavillion. I'm glad we didn't go on it!

I didn't see any member of the Dream Team while we were there.

Can't wait for the next installment!

That's so funny you should mention that about the ecv. I used to work at the Indiana Jones ride in DL and guests were always breaking our elevator because they couldn't control their ecvs. :lmao:
Your trip report is great so far, keep up the good work! :thumbsup2

It is a wonder that the elevator worked after the crash we saw :scared:. Hey I know it has to be hard to drive those things, I have trouble moving Bill's chair with the joystick when I am walking beside it. Thanks for continuing to read the TR.

Shake that Dream Team man down.....there must have been some goodies on his person...;)

3 Caballeros...Call me crazy but I liked the old one better.

Rude guests...I think they always make for a good story.

You cracked me up about shaking down the Dream Team member. Jordan I want to go to WDW for many years to come not be banned for life :scared1: . 3 Caballeros scarred me for life I tell you  . Yes, the rude guests are good for story telling, I was thinking just that when she practically knocked me down and almost took Bill's arm off :sad2:. I screamed "HEY LADY, you are going to be in my trippie for that !!! Well I screamed it in my head.

We too had a Dream Team Close Encounter... it was very disappointing. She actually approached Zachary (DS4) and talked to him - got right down on the ground at his level. Then she sent us on our way empty handed. :headache:
Your story about the Mexico boat is hillarious. :lmao: :rotfl2: I can just picture you guys!

Aww Amy, I am sorry your Dream Team member didn't give you any pixie dust. I was cracking up so bad on that ride, I seriously couldn't stop laughing, I was a mess :rotfl:.

Monica, I know you are gone on your trip, but I am responding to you anyway, LOL. Sorry about making you get the giggles at work. I have no idea what the Dream Team Member was looking for. We have to have a great rude people attitude, it happens a lot a WDW because of the wheelchair, we just don't let people aggravate us. You are right, they are the people that come home and talk about how horrible Disney is.

Hi Michelle, yes you think we would learn by now. I swear I am going to pack a week ahead of time and put all the stuff in the van then. Samantha is beautiful, maybe she is just being cautious?

I am so glad your b/f got a wheelchair!! One of the reasons Bill loves WDW so much is because of the accessibility of it. It takes a little getting used to to deal with the ramps. Yes the Mexican pavillion was a riot :rotfl2:.

Tracy,

I like the whole "screaming it in my head" comment. I was laughing and my roommate looked over and wondered what I was laughing at....

Hey Tracey I forgot to comment on a couple of things. First I liked the way ya'll handled the "rude" people incident. It is pretty amazing that in a place like DW where they are treating you so well you have osme guest that just have that attitude "I am getting on when I want to get on an who cares about everyone else!!!!" Oh well ya'll handled it with decorum!!!1:thumbsup2

I also wanted to mention how my heart just swelled up when you wrote about meeting the Wish trip little boy! I know that meant a lot to the parents and child. Those were some of our best moments when people actually talkled to Braeton instead of at him or over him. And it made him feel so good. He tells people he was a Prince at DW!!!! So as a mom of a wish tripper I just want to say Thank you!!!1:hug: Just a few moments can make a big difference. I know you and Bill understand that!!!:goodvibes
You are doing such a great job on this.
Hope all is well with you and Bill!!!:goodvibes

LeeLee, I just try to treat others how I wish Bill was treated. Just because someone is in a wheelchair they shouldn't be treated like they are invisible. I will have a story about someone that aggravated me in how they treated Bill at Epcot coming soon. Let's just say I didn't let her stay ignorant for long by showing her how she was talking to him.

As for Bill, his is great. He is done with his classes for this semester and has his grades back for one class. He got a 29 out of 30 on his term paper and a 29 out of 30 on his final exam. With his extra credit the teacher gave him for class participation he got 105.5 points out of a possible 105. I said you did MORE than perfect:woohoo: . He is so happy to be done with those classes.

He says he will come on the DIS after he relaxes some more. He has to play Tiger Woods 2008, a Star Wars game, and Sims 2 for a little bit.

Warning overusage of smileys coming up!!!

OK, I can't take it. I have to tell someone. Bill just booked a Disney land and sea package for us, 3 days on land (we are going to add more days) and 4 days at sea December 10-17 2009 .

I am FREAKING OUT HERE in a good way!!!

I have so much research and planning to do . I am in completely unknown territory. I have to read all the cruise boards here :surfweb: , get the Disney Cruise passporter , and we are trying to decide whether or not to take a Disney trip in 2008 (yeah right like we are going to skip a year :rotfl:).

My head is spinning . I just had to share here, no one else would understand how happy :yay: and scared I am at the same time.

If you have any initial questions let me know. I've taken 4 Disney Cruises.....I'm taking another 7 day in 09.

Tracy - I am grinning ear to ear for you! What a great trip to look forward to! I can feel your excitement through the computer screen! Way to go Bill!! :yay:  :yay:

How excited are you!!!!! I've taken 4 Royal Carribean cruises so I might be of some help as well.

Hey, I just joined this TR but I love it already! It's great and I loved the backstory. It's fun to hear about people's lives and really get to sort of know people before "going" on their trip with them. Anyway, the cruise sounds like so much fun!! That's really exciting! Well, I can't wait for the next installment!

Ok Tracy, just finished reading the bazillion and 1 pages I needed to get caught up.:teeth: Just to remind you he's a keeper

You're so lucky to have Bill (and vice versa). Wish my dh was as addicted to Disney as I am.

We've got 6 inches of snow and it's still falling . . . a trip update sure would brighten my day. :goodvibes Hint. Hint.

:confused3 TRACY! I'm gone for a week and no update?:confused3 You'd think you were busy with Christmas or something!:rotfl: Take your time. I'll be glad to have stuff to read in January and we're snowed in! Congrats on your cruise! Dave and I are already talking about when we can go back!

Jordan, I know I will have questions for you, but not just yet. I will write them down as they come to me. I am a little overwhelmed at the present time.

 How about planning a shipboard wedding - mrsksomeday can become MRSK!! :bride: :groom:

Hi Michelle, I was a little bit too happy when I posted that :rotfl:. Sadly I don't see a shipboard wedding in our future, it would mess with his benefits :sad2:. Medical needs and security for him is more important than a wedding ring. We know in our hearts we belong to each other .

Thanks MRYPPNS, it would be great to ask an experienced cruiser questions :thumbsup2.

Hi lamagique!! Welcome to our TR. Thank you so much for reading. I got a little carried away with the backstory installments :rotfl:. Your TR was AMAZING. Everyone if you have not read it, you have to. The pictures were hilarious!!

Hi coles1mom!! Sorry about all the pages, I like to go on and on and on :lmao:. Yes, my Billy is a keeper . He is wonderful.

Hi Ricky's Girl!! I feel I am the lucky one. He is a fantastic person, you are right about him being as addicted as I am. I will do an update either later tonight or tomorrow.

Hi Monica, I was just waiting for you to get back, I didn't want you to get behind :rotfl2:. Isn't it funny, that we always seem to be either talking about getting ready to go to WDW or talking about going back.

Dearest Tracy,

It made me sad to read this, because I know it all too well. It was difficult for me to understand/accept this when my own BF explained this to me. Like you, I would never want him to lose his benefits, but its just not fair! Why can't we be happy AND get benefits? It just seems like some discrimination. I love my man and would love to be his MrsSomeday too! But you have the right attitude...No one can question love. I guess its just another "little bump" that we go through. But there's nothing wrong with a committment ceremony, right? :thumbsup2

I love your TR, I talk about it all the time. I feel like we are kindred spirits. Have a good day everyone! Can't wait for the next installment, but I understand little things, like HOLIDAYS, get in the way.

This makes me so sad! :sad2: At least you both seem to have the right attitude about the situation. :flower3:

I finally got caught up!! Wow! Tracy that is awesome!! Bill is my kind of vacation seeker!! I've always wanted to do a Disney cruise-I'll bet they're wonderful!! You'll have such a great time!!

So Bill plays the Sims 2? I love that game too!! :yay: We have so much in common! (Kiss, Sims 2, Yoda!) Although, I think he's much smarter than I am! I did ok, but I never did that well in school! Those are some fantastic grades he got!

Will your son be going on the cruise trip with you? We did a Carnival cruise once and it was great. Then we had kids and Buzz is too leary to go on a cruise with Trey right now. He's worried about how he'd react and that he wouldn't be comfortable on a boat and might try to "get off" the boat. We tried to take him on a fireworks cruise a year ago at WDW but it was a total disaster.

We didn't know it at the time, but he's got a huge fear of the dark and likes to be at "home" when it's dark, whether home is actualy home or a hotel room. We were just about to board the boat and he got so scared he ran away from us. I had to chase him down (he's very fast and I'm not much of a runner!) and when I finally got him convinced to wear a life jacket for the boat, Buzz decided we'd just bag the cruise. He said it was just too much of a safety issue. I still wanted to do it, but then I started imagining him becoming so upset and falling overboard into that dark water with the alligators and other creepy things. So I agreed-no fireworks boat. They gave us a full refund, which was nice, because it said in the rules that they don't do that. Buzz explained to the guy that our son has autism and we didn't know he couldn't do this.

Anyway, didn't mean to hijack your thread! Your TR is great!! I really enjoyed reading through it! I subbed to it so I can stay current now! :yay:
