Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

Tracy, I'm so sad your report is almost over. I've been reading along with you for so long. It's been a great journey reading about you and Bill. I feel like I really know you! Please keep us updated on your upcoming trips.

Maybe you should try Crystal Palace for breakfast. The food is very good. So what did you think of Jungle Cruise? I love how you took 3 pics of the boat and none of the ride! We also loved the Christmas Party. That is such a great picture of the castle with the bushes.

I'll be sadly waiting for your last installment.:sad1:

great pics. Very nice castle shots.

sad it is almost over.

Thanks Scott for reading, I am sad it is almost over too.

Tracy,

Just know wherever you are; whatever you do in life; you and Bill are now a part of my life.....:grouphug:

Thanks for allowing us to share in your vacation memories.....

Hi Jordan. :grouphug: That was the sweetest thing to say, you made me tear up :sad1:.

Your welcome and thank you so much for reading and coming along with us on the journey.

Hi Monica, we will keep everyone updated, I promise. I am thinking we might try the Crystal Palace for breakfast in November. I have some Jungle Cruise ride pics, I guess I am just so focused on accessibility. I will post some random pictures at the end of the report.

I agree with Bill about holiday Wishes! We had seen Wishes before but the holiday is fabulous. The parade was awesome also! Bill did look a little tired at the end of the parade. Or was he just sad to go home?

I tell you what ... I could have just sat and looked at that castle lit up all night long. It was truly breathtaking!

Well it's always sad when a trip ends. But thankfully , when one trip ends that signals planning for the next one!

Hi Tracey...since your winding down here you should stop by my new PTR (link in siggie) and help me plan my next trip. I'm currently debating end of Oct or 2 week of November so your experience would be great with that time of year.

We made our way toward the exit and watched the “snow” fall. I was overwhelmed with how beautiful they had made things for Christmas, I was crying a little :sad1: . I turned around to stare at the castle one last time. We always pick up fudge to take home with us and then went out to get on a Pop bus. Neither one of us wanted to go home the next day.

You're making me cry

Tracy and Bill, though I have mostly lurked, as I have not had anyting great to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed your TR, and am very sorry it is coming to an end. Thank you so much for allowing us this little glimpse into your lives and into your vacation. It was a great ride. :grouphug:

Hi Lynn. Bill was very sad to be going home. I know how you feel about the castle, it was stunning. Oh there has been much planning in this household lately, :rotfl:.

MRYPPNS, Hi!! I will be going to your PTR probably sometime tonight. My laptop is acting really odd and I am on Bill's computer right now. I swear what is up with people doing trip reports and then having computer problems :confused3?

You know I would tell you November, we should be there then :thumbsup2.

Hi blue river!! Thanks for reading, I like that pic too, so many castle pictures of mine didn't come out. I was lucky to get a few good ones. It makes me weepy when I think about leaving MK that night. We miss it so much.

Hi camelotcats! You say a lot of great things, I have read some of your posts. Thank you so much for reading. I am very thankful for KathyRN encouraging me to do this TR, I have thoroughly enjoyed doing it and talking to the great members here.

We got back to the hotel that night and I packed up almost everything. I didn’t want to go to sleep, I didn’t want our vacation to end, but it had to. We got up early the next day, I had already called bell services the day before to schedule a time to come get all our stuff.

Here is the last envelope:

I know I already told you, but I hate the Disney Envelopes they hang on doors, hate, hate, hate them, they always mean we have to leave !!

We were going up to Everything Pop one last time and ran into Ricky’s Girl and her friend :flower3:. I was so happy to meet another DISer, but so sad because we had to leave so quickly. I didn’t even get a picture of us together, I still really regret that :sad1: . She was so sweet and I am so glad to have met her.

Here are a couple of random POP pics:

We went up to bell services and they took the bags up to the benches for us to wait for the Magical Express.

The driver asked me if I would be sitting next to my husband – not son but HUSBAND. We all got on the bus and he was a talker. He turned down the video and just kept talking and talking. One thing he said was a “little tip he wanted to share with us”. He said “to make sure to bring back the refillable mugs to use again and again, that Disney didn’t mind at all how old they were just bring them.” Bill and I looked at each other horrified because I had told him about the huge debates on the DISboards about the mugs. I just kept shaking my head :sad2: .

It was uneventful going through security. We had to get Bill some gummy bears, it is a tradition to take them on the plane with us. We were first on the plane again. The airline actually listened to me this time about how heavy the wheelchair was and used 4 people to get it on the plane:

We were pretty quiet on the flight back. The pilot said how long the flight would be and it was about 30 minutes longer then it normally is. The plane didn’t climb as high and I was seeing what looked to me like an ocean . This bothered me a bit. Bill kept telling me not to worry about it everything was fine. Come to find out we were diverted a little because of all the air traffic that day. When we were descending in St. Louis the trees were so beautiful with all the fall colored leaves.

We landed safely and of course it was freezing in St. Louis. We called the Marriott, they picked us up in the shuttle, I got the van and off we went to Illinois. We talked about how our trip had gone and just went back to the apartment building. It was too late to pick Ace up, we would have to get him the next day :guilty: .

We went to bed early and were ready to go get Ace in the morning. He was SO happy to see us, his little rear end was wiggling all over the place. When we got home I took a couple of pictures of him.

Here he is looking really tired.

Here he is being introduced to Pal Mickey:

Last installment… Our final thoughts

Awww Tracy - so sad! :sad2: You will need to start a PTR soon!

Yay for being called Bill's wife! :cool1:

:scared1: about the bus driver and the mugs. Hope he never posts that here.

Ace is so adorable - definately worth coming home to. Too bad you had to wait until the next morning though.

I hope Bill isn't afraid of heights...that picture is alittle scary:scared1:

You just can't win with the bus drivers. I thought you found a good one but then he had to ruin it with the mug comment.

My number one disney tip is usually get to the parks at rope drop. I think I need to change it to "don't listen to a word a bus driver says!, never!"

I cannot believe only 1 more installment. It was really a great report and thank you for sharing it with us.
Loved the pics.
U both looked like you had a great time.

I can't believe it's almost over :sad2: Love the pic of Ace & Pal Mickey!

So sad its almost over. I'm leaving tomorrow, so even if you post, I'll leave it until we come back. Something to look forward to. Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us. I know for me, it gives a new perspective to patience, (you both have a great deal more than I have) when touring WDW. And an enviable outlook on life. I only wish that I could deal with whatever life chooses to toss at me. You both do it with a great sense of love and grace. Thank You both.:goodvibes

Tracy, I don't know about you guys but if it wasn't for my dogs, Paris Hairless and Andy, I would probably just live at WDW. As sad as it is to leave, I'm always so happy to see their wiggling rumps.

Oh and a woo-hoo for getting to be Bill's wife instead of mom. At least you went out on a high note. :rotfl:

Tracey

I love the no parking sign with the "car" parked there!:lmao:

I know what you mean about that evil thing hangin on the door! It signifies leaving ....and paying the bill.

Ace is so cute. Don't you wish you could hear what is going on inside their heads. I'm sure he was glad to see you both!

I fell a little behind, but I am all caught up now. I'm so sad :sad1:
I love you castle pictures, they turned out beautiful. It's not an easy picture to get with all those lights.
I'm sure Ace was sooooo happy to have you back. Having a pet does sometimes help to ease the pain of going home.
I will be looking forward to the final thoughts.

Sad to see it ending, but looking forward to your final thoughts (and future reports. :rolleyes1 )

Always so sad when it's over.:sad1:
I lOVE the pic of Ace and Pal Mickey.
Ace looks happy.:goodvibes
