Cast and crew:
Ace(me): 28. United States Air Force. Disney lover as long as I can remember.
DW: Nancy,28. Became Disney lover when we got engaged at Disneyland.
DS: Nick, 5. Had first Disney experience at 3 months old and hasn't looked back.
My mom: JoAnn. I owe my love of Disney to her since she always took us to Disneyland.
My sis: Vicki, 25. Looking for relaxation above all
My brother: Rob, 21. Can finally have a drink at PI
Brother's G/F: Ali. Is she ready for a week with us all?
Wow, what a trip. The first time we went to WDW was amazing because it was all so new. The second time was just as great. I was afraid this trip might be stale because we had "been there, done that". But I should know better right? This trip was every bit as fantastic as either of the previous. We all really enjoyed how we were able to kick back and take it at a slower pace this time. I know we did not see everything, but we saw all we could and that was plenty sufficient. So here are some random thoughts to close:
All Star resorts: We really enjoyed the resort for the most part. We happened to be there during some kind of "Robot" competition and during grad nights, so it was packed with teens, But they were very well behaved. We got all we requested for our rooms and had a good time. I did however miss SOG, and look forward to its re-opening.
Bus transport: Very efficient at All Stars, but noticed it lacking at other places. I missed walking from SOG to the Poly for the monorail, and missed having a vehicle also. But it all was great for the trip.
Crowds: Seemed to be quite busy to us, as our previous trips had been in September, but very manageable.
Weather: Hot of course. We enjoyed the fact that there was no threat of hurricanes as we had dealt with in previous trips. Only 2 storms of any kind our entire time there.
CM's: Can't think of any example of any bad experiences.
Dining: All I can say is wow. I cannot recall any bad dining experience at all. Everything was great, and I know I will be back at Boma for our next trip.
Kids: I think the first trip was kind of a dream of mine that was fulfilled. DS was only 2 1/2 at the time. But this trip it was so amazing just to step back and watch him really begin to experience all that it is that I love about Disney. It was all the more amazing to have my mom with us. I now know why it was we always made to Disneyland, and for her to experience WDW with her grandson makes it all the more special.
Disney's Armed Forces Salute: All I can say is thanks. I know that here it might go unnoticed, but I will be writing to Disney expressing our thanks for this offer. I kind of never expected something like that from Disney, but the magic shined through again. This deal was such a huge blessing. This package without a doubt saved us probably $1000, even over what we would have paid at SOG.
Thanks again to the DIS and everyone who is a part of it. Such a great place to turn not just for info, but to relive memories and get ready to build new ones. We will most definitely begin our planning for our next trip. Hopefully we will be able to get back next year after SOG re-opens. Hope you folks out there enjoyed reading these as much as I enjoyed reliving my trip here. Thanks again.
