Hello all-

We have done Disneyland together since magic band plus.

I'll be buying tickets for my husband and I. He has magic bands that we used at DisneyWorld. He does not have his own account - we always just use mine.

What will we need do to link our tickets together and to set up his magicband + in the app so we can book LL and all that together?

Thanks!

Is his MB linked to your DL account? If not then just have him create a new DL account and add his MB.

On the app, go to "My Tickets and Passes" Tap on the + in the upper right corner. That will add you to link tickets and passes.

Does he have to create an account? Is there a way to just link his magic bands in my account assigned to him like we can with the my Disney experience app for WDW? On the my Disney expirence app I can have guests managed by me.. if this is making sense.

It's not the same. The DL app does not have "people" in the same way the MDE app does at WDW. Each "person" at DLR is simply a ticket. For example, at DLR you name one of the tickets for you, your husband, etc. You need to link the MB+ to a ticket. I've never tried it, but I don't see any reason why you can't take the MB+ and link in your app, so he shouldn't need to create an account.

Thank you! I knew they were different but just wasn't sure how to do it. I haven't bought tickets yet so I bet once I do it will make
More sense.

As someone who does both coast I really wish they would make it the sammmmeee.

you can have him add the reservation to his account in his app if he has it, and then you can authorize room charges and using the app to unlock the door.

once you have tickets you will need to link the tickets to mb's if you want to use the mb's for entry, etc.

I can manage all of our MBs in the Disneyland app where for the WDW app my wife has to have her phone/app manage her account as she has a few things in the Disney ecosystem that she is the primary on. So in a way you should have no problem. The big issue is likely having to pair the Bluetooth a 2nd time.

Here is an other post/thread I've shared a few times that have helped others with some of the pain of getting the MBs to work on both coasts. It can be done......

we have done it. fortunately once you pair with both apps you are good to go for future trips

I'm doing WDW with current MB+ for first time in March after several uses at DLR. Hoping for the best!
