Accomodation Question

Hi Everyone

Well it looks like we'll be heading back to Florida for Xmas 2009 . I have a question that I was wondering if anyone had the answer to .

We will be booking a package holiday with Virgin Holidays staying at All Star Music, however we would like to transfer resorts the last few days of our holiday to a deluxe. Would we be able to swap our ressie for these days and just have to pay the difference for the rooms Any insight would be great

Yes you can change to a different hotel. We changed to the AKL on Christmas eve until after NY when we flew home.

You can call Virgin and ask them to price it all up for you for the resorts you want. On our last trip we booked a 'package' with Virgin but did 3 days GF, Disney Wonder 4 nights and then 7 nights in Boca Raton. At least this way you know that the resort you want will be available and you will be booked in rather than having to change upon arrival, especially at Christmas.

Christmas is the busiest time at WDW so if you are wanting to swap hotels book it now as there may be no availability by then.

Not sure as I have never done it but as Claire has said I would book it now to guarantee your ressie at the resort you want

I've been thinking about doing this too. We're staying at ASMo next Christmas and having 3 nights on Disney Wonder just before Christmas Day. I was going to leave our room empty for the days we are cruising to save the hassle of checking out and back in again but i'm now thinking that the money I'd save by not paying for the room for those nights would go towards upgrading to AKL for the last week.
Would I have to take all our luggage with us on the cruise or would there be somewhere to leave it at the resort if we were away for 3 days?
