Accident at Disney with Goofy resulting in death?

I heard some horrifying news that an accident involving Goofy and a float resulted in the death of a character. Is this true? How horrible.

i believe it was pluto and yes it is true. apparently one of the floats ran him over, i think.

Okay not to be rude, but as adults we all know that "Pluto" was not run over and killed, but that there was an actual cast member that was playing the role of Pluto and HE died while performing.

IMO the comment that I quoted should be more like.... My/Our hearts go out to Javier Cruz in the lose of his life while performing as Pluto. God Speed to his family as they deal with such a tragic situation.

YOu are very correct in that it was Javier Cruz who died and not "Pluto" but you could be a bit nicer to the person you are replying to. Maybe they didn't know his name; maybe they just now heard about it. Maybe they meant nothing insensitive by "Poor Pluto".
