Accessing website AP info when AP is not yet activated

I bought a Deluxe AP online a couple of weeks ago. It won't be activated until I'm at DL in September. I've tried to add it to my disneyland.com profile so I can access the AP info - but I keep getting a message that the AP number I've entered is not valid.

Am I able to access that part of the website before the AP is activated? Am I putting the wrong number in the Passport Barcode Number field? I've tried it with both the number under the barcode at the top of the AP e-ticket, and also the Confirmation number.
 
Some people have had luck using the bar code, but most haven't. You have to wait until its activated in most cases. The actual ap number on your pass will be different than the one on the voucher though.

This is correct and is what I have been told repeatedly by Cast Members (when I originally got my first AP, I called to ask after many failed attempts of entering it on the site). As 3Minnies said, the number on your voucher is not going to be the same on your AP, so you can't set up an AP account yet. You'll have to wait until you physically go to the parks and get your actual AP card. If you want to know AP rates, you can call the hotels and ask. Just tell them you'll be activating your AP during your stay.
 
Well that's a bit annoying! but at least I can stop trying now - thanks.
