We are traveling with our 2 small children, and we need an accessible room with a roll-in shower for me, but we also need 2 beds. Do all of the roll-in shower rooms only come with king beds, or are there some that have the 2 beds? If so, which hotels only have the king bed rooms? We are hoping to stay at one of the moderate resorts... Thanks!

I have stayed at POR with 2 double beds and a roll-in shower. I'm not surw what other moderates offer this set up.

Just book what you would book as a family without disability. You are a family of 4, so you can book any room type that would fit 4. For the moderates that would be all room types apart from the specified king bed type rooms. (read; this is something else than booking a standard view, water view, preffered, or pirate room in an accessible mode)

If the bedding are different because of the fact that you need an accessible unit, WDW will take care of it. They have multiple ways of taking care of it and some of us don't feel comfortable naming some of those for everybody to read, but you will be taken care of. There will be room for the 4 of you to sleep properly, just like any other family without disability would have when booking a room that fits 4.

We have stayed at POP and Wilderness Lodge. Both times our handicap accessible room with a roll in shower had a king bed. I can't speak for the layout for other resorts...as these two are my only experiences. If you have concerns, call and speak with a CM and see if there are any other resorts that would meet your needs.

I know what you are hinting at, but the OP needs to make sure that the room is tagged by special services, so the 'book as a family without disability' is a bit misleading. The room needs to be tagged as requiring a roll in shower, and sleeping for 4 (two minors).

Schmeck, true. It is a pretty safe bet to assume that anybody needing a room with roll in shower knows they have to arrange when making the reservation. That was not the part Tighe was worried about (she/he obviously knows how it works, even knowing that some rooms might only have a king bed), but it was getting the right amount of bedding. On that department she really shouldn't worry, on that part she can book just like any other family without a disability. The difference between this family and a AB one lies with this family needing to state the need for a roll in shower, not in worrying about bedding configuration. That is why I didn't focus any attention on the first, put purely on the latter. :)
