I had my interview on Monday and just got my acceptance email today! (only 3 days!) I didn't get any of my first choices(bibbidi-bobbidi boutique, hospitality, full service) but I will be working in merchandise. I'm so excited. But not so excited about the $300 deposit I won't be getting back. anyone else get accepted yet? Where are you working?

Phone interview tonight but very curious about the questions they ask regarding the BBB! Care to share?

Oh and congrats, of course. :)

Congrats! I'm merchandise too! :) BBB is pretty exclusive, I've heard they only take 10-15 girls for that one per season.

Congratulations TX~Tink & Soarin08! And good luck in your phone interview castmember19 : )

I'm in Photopass! It was my first choice. Merch was my second. :goodvibes

I can answer any BBB questions you have. I got accepted for fall 2010 and now I'm part time :)

Just curious about interview questions regarding BBB specifically and how to really nail them! I have no salon experience but I am a bit of a girly girl so doing hair, make-up, etc is kind of second nature. I get a lot of experience with kids since I'm studying to be a teacher and I already work at Disney Store. I've heard it's a hard role to get so I really want to do well with the answers. It's pretty much my dream.

To be honest I don't think that is going to be enough. I have worked with kids since I was in high school and am also a girly girl and that is exactly what I told them and I didn't get it. I think they are looking for someone that has actual hair and make-up experience. I have done little girl's hair and make up so many times, but because it wasn't professional experience, they weren't impressed. Also I think they are filling up their positions because merchandise was not even on my list, so I would schedule your interviews as soon as possible.

The same thing happened to my roommate here at school last year. She wanted BBB SO bad because she thought the fact she works with kids a lot and is good with hair/makeup would get her in. Obviously not.

I agree- interview NOW. Or at least, apply now to get the interview hopefully within a couple days. Your chances are gonna go down the longer you wait! I applied on day one of the apps opening and I am already set, so hurry! :upsidedow

I interviewed last night! Would have been sooner but my e-mails weren't coming through properly so I had a lot of trouble setting up my interviews.

I read a lot about girls in the past who didn't have any make-up/salon experience, just were in occupations with children, and still got BBB but that might have been something that has changed over the years.

Sure enough she only asked me one question about BBB, the rest seemed more Attractions-based. She only asked me for my top role choices 2 so I can't help but feel it's probably gonna be Attractions if all goes well.

Also on the FB group there were only a few girls who got accepted for BBB and I believe they were all alumni.

I'm in for Attractions, which was my first choice. This semester needs to go as fast as humanly possible.

I'm in for Custodial!!!

I am so excited. This semester can't go by fast enough.

Salon experience is not required! Experience with children is more important, because it's all about creating magic with them. Just stress your experience with kids and that you love doing hair and make-up. My interviewer asked me what I would do if a little girl got upset and didn't want to get her hair done anymore. I told her I would speak with her at eye level and tell her how much fun she would have and show her all of the girls who were getting done. She seemed to like that answer, but now that I'm actually in the BBB I would also say that I would show her all the accessories she would get to take home. It is difficult to get, so make sure you tell your interview why you're perfect for it. There are two boutiques and each one has about 15 CP's each term.

Believe it or not, most CP's don't really have any hair experience it all. It's all about how you present yourself to your interviewer. I was barely asked anything BUT BBB questions because I told her that I would be great at it and of all jobs at Disney I would be best at that. And you don't have to be alumni either, I wasn't. Just because you have past experience doesn't mean you're guaranteed to nail the interview and get BBB, because BBB is the closest thing to a character role outside of entertainment. The interviewer is going to want to sense that you can really shine as FGIT :wizard: Good luck castmember19!

Thanks so much! My interview passed and I did get asked the scenario question- I told her I'd get at eye level, explain the whole process, let her take a short moment if she needed it, and hope the seeing the other girls would help her feel more comfortable with it.

I didn't get to go into how I love hair and make-up though, seeing as she never asked if I had any formal experience. I vaguely said when I was saying why I wanted the role that I was a big girly girl and I loved both and how I thought I'd be best suited for that role, but after the scenario question she went on to ask what seemed more like Attractions-based questions.

She also did say, "Well, you sound like you have A LOT of experience with kids!"

So fingers crossed! Thanks for restoring the faith. Here's hoping! princess:

If you don't mind my asking, when did you get accepted for attractions? It's my first choice as well and I just had my interview today - heard it was filling up and I freaked out a bit!

Where did you hear it was filled up? I don't think enough people have gotten accepted for it to be filled up yet.

I've seen comments here and there on the facebook group - not so much saying they were filled up NOW, but that they were filling up and if you wanted in attractions, then you should hurry up and interview. *kanyeshrug*

I was just wondering because that's what I REALLY want.

Ah, ok. Yeah, interviewing as soon as possible will give you a better chance at what you want, but don't worry too much. Also, to keep yourself from being disappointed, get excited about one or two more positions that maybe you can pick up shifts for while you're there. That way, if you do get one of those other positions, you'll still be happy that you got one of your top picks, if not your number one pick.

As for me, I'm really excited about all three of my choices! Character Attendant, Attractions, and Custodial! As long as I get one of those, I'm set!
