Evening all,
Lots more colour changes over the past few days: congrats to sophy1996, Twilight Sparkle and WDW_FAN_IN_TX for hitting orange, to PollyannaMom, Raya and myself for hitting purple and big congrats to piglet1979 for accelerating ahead into pink!

So next up on our quick paced month is a ride that is currently under refurbishment and has very recently had a reopen date announced, it is of course Rock 'n' Rollercoaster:

Previously starring Aerosmith, and soon to be starring The Muppets and Electric Mayhem, the ride first opened in 1999, with another version following at Disneyland Paris 3 years later in 2002. The Paris version shut in 2019 and was replaced by Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, which opened in 2022. The original Aerosmith RNR remained in Hollywood Studios until March this year when it was closed, and will reopen as a reimagined Muppets version on 26th May (2 weeks after I leave!
).
The ride launches you off at a rather speedy 0 to 57mph (92km/h) in less than 2.8 seconds, and features 3 inversions in total. You experience 5 Gs as you go into the inversions, more than an astronaut experiences during a space shuttle launch.
There are/were? a number of hidden Mickeys throughout the ride, including 2 on the ride track itself, 2 in the tile mosaic near the marble doors and many on Steve Tyler's shirt on the poster outside.
Fun fact for you all, each coaster train featured a different set of songs, specified by the license plate on the front of the train. Aerosmith even rerecorded a number of their songs to fit in the the ride, such as changing "Love in an Elevator" to "Love in a Rollercoaster".
I'll leave you again with a front row ride POV, and also a short video clip with info on the new Muppets version. No ride photo today as i mustn't have got one last trip!
How does everyone feel about Rock n Rollercoaster, and about the Muppets retheme? I like the ride, it's not my favourite as I found it wasn't smooth enough for my liking. And I think it was looking pretty dated so I'm really excited for the Muppets version. Such a better idea!

I usually ride once with DS and DH, but sometimes they go back again while I'm shopping or something.
