Eric: He walked into the cafeteria, stepping up to a small podium at the front. "Hello, students!" he said into a microphone. "I'd like to introduce myself, to those who don't know. I'm Eric Alcott, headmaster of the school. I'm glad to have another great year at the academy. Dinner will begin shortly, but I'd like to make a few announcements.

First off, rules. I know, nobody likes them, but you can imagine it's difficult to keep order in a school full of super beings. So, first rule... don't be an idiot! Some students may have trouble with that! This includes using your powers for reasons /other/ than good, whether in a severe or more light mood. Don't ditch classes or disrespect the teachers. Based off what teachers think, when we deploy heroes out to fight crime, you may be in teams or working solo. The weapons in the technology lab are allowed to be used by students with the consent of a teacher or Kylie, one of our main workers in the lab."

Kylie: She sunk down in her seat, not liking how some people looked over at her. He knows I don't like it when he singles me out. But she couldn't help a small smile.

Eric: "You will NOT be going to fight crime unless deployed by myself or a teacher- we have high speed systems, I assure that taking any matter into your own hands won't help. Curfew is 9:30. By that time, students must be in their dorms. Girls in girls dorms, boys in boys. You are allowed to use powers in the halls, just not to too much of a chaotic level. Over the weekends students are allowed to come and go off academy property as they wish, and fight crime as they wish, but any trouble caused will have consequences. Students are allowed to have lunch outside on the beach. After school hours, the beach and beach volleyball areas are open. This will be covered in Combat class, but when fighting, keep damage low. Get the job done, and try to keep a positive image for yourself and the other students of the school. I think I've covered all the main points. Classroom rules will be covered by teachers tomorrow. Now, times for dinner. Lines with various food choices are to the very left of the tables." The lines included pizza, salad, chicken sandwiches, and sub sandwiches.

Amelia: she listened closely, since she didn't want to get in trouble.

Mark: He got his food and set it on the table. Then he got up, going to get a bottle of water.

Mark: He hadn't been paying attention, and tripped over Jake's feet. "Whoa-" he flickered into shadow form and passed right through a girl (Amelia) and the table she was sitting at.

Marcella, Nolan and Elijah: They zoned out on the rules. Alcott knew they didn't follow them anyway and weren't planning to and most teachers gave up on controlling them (or trying to anyway) a few weeks into each year.

Scarlet and Lokelani: They listened politely but they already knew what the rules were so weren't concerned.

Victor: He listened, scoffing in his mind. The rules were dumb. They didn't actually expect him to follow them, did they? He was eighteen!

Charlotte, Leo, Romanadya and Damien: They listened in quiet attentiveness, with varying degrees in excitement and nervousness.

Scarlet, Leo, Romanadya and Damien: They sympathized with the girl.

Mark: He got out from under the table, rubbing his ears. "No, I'm sorry, I should've been paying attention..." He looked at the boy who had tripped him, half expecting an apology.

Jake: He raised an eyebrow, at first silent. Then he sighed. "Sorry," he mumbled.

Mark: "Thanks." He turned to Amelia. "That was actually kinda cool."

Amelia: "Really? I remember the first time I did that, the look on everyone's faces... I'd better go get a broom or something." She started to clean up the glass.

Scarlet: "Here, let me help." Once she got her powers under control, any time there was broken glass, Shard was always called upon. She simply held out her hand and the glass came to her, dissolving into her skin.

OOC: It's kind of like her body can't be touched by glass, so it becomes a part of her instead, and she can make glass as a second skin or a shield or even turn to glass just like Emma Frost can turn to glass if she wants to, however glass is not exactly the best thing for defense.

Scarlet: "Here, let me help." Once she got her powers under control, any time there was broken glass, Shard was always called upon. She simply held out her hand and the glass came to her, dissolving into her skin.

OOC: It's kind of like her body can't be touched by glass, so it becomes a part of her instead, and she can make glass as a second skin or a shield or even turn to glass just like Emma Frost can turn to glass if she wants to, however glass is not exactly the best thing for defense.
