I'm sorry to hear you are so down about this. I do think maybe you should talk to your dh - I'm sure he would want to know. And even if you do decide you have no choice but to stay put and let him start the new job, at least you know it was what you both thought is for the best, and make a decision about it together. Don't get me wrong, DH does know about the job and everything - I just didn't really want to take away from his positive feelings aobut having a new job by being miserable about missing out on this one. We have talked about it and agreed that it isn't an option for me to still go for the job unfortunately. Thanks everyone for your kind words - I am feeling a bit better about it today and I do know deep down that it's probably for the best in the long run
