Absolute Worst TS or CS and Why

CS- The Sunshine Food place at the Land, hands down the worst food I have ever had at any CS.

Have you been to Sunshine Seasons since the menu was revamped a year or so ago? I consider myself a fussy eater, but my entire family enjoyed the food here this past March 2006. Salmon with olive pesto sauce, for example, was quite good we thought, for CS.

I didn't really like the food at Chef Mickey's. The kids loved the character experience, but the food was really poor. We also had a really bad experience at Olivia's. We were there on a cold January evening and the place was nearly empty. I would have expected the server to be overly attentive since she didn't have any other tables, but it was just the opposite. Our server was never around. Our two young children were tired and starving and the service was horribly slow. After she finally brought our entrees, she disappeared and never came back to see if the food was OK - which it wasn't. She never even asked if we wanted dessert - even though we were on DDP. I was totally disgusted and wished tip wasn't included in the DDP because we would have left something tiny to make a point.

TS - Now a lot of people are going to disagree (and I am ducking for cover) but I would have to say the Brown Derby at the Studios. That "famous" Cobb Salad was just pulverized, icky, mush to me. Service and atmosphere were excellent though. I also wasn't really thrilled with Hollywood and Vine which to me was just overpriced cafeteria food.

CS - I am going to have to go with the ABC Commissary. Cold and tasteless, YUCK!!! No wonder that place always seems empty.

TS: Trail's End, but Liberty Tree Tavern was a close second.
CS: ABC Commissary in MGM

By the way, we went to Hollywood and Vine in December and thought its was very fresh and very good. But the character interaction left much to be desired.

CS--San Angel Cantina in Mexico at Epcot. Totally Gross!!!! This was the only meal on our trip last May that wasn't scheduled. This was our "do anything" day and we ended up at Epcot and my DH picked this!! I had made all other meal plans and then he picks this and it was horrible :rotfl:

TS--Can't really say. We went last May for the first time since 97. I think I would have to say.....I know I will be flamed for this :sad2: ......Boma. We only liked the soups and desserts. Thought the entrees were tasteless.

TS: Coral Reef. The seafood here is just awful. Yes, the fish tank is lovely, but the food is not even passable.

CS: Three way Tie between Flatbread Grille (MGM), ABC Commissary, and Electric Umbrella. (The Flatbread Grille is new to my list this year. We were there in April--stood in line for almost a half hour, and when we finally got the food, we threw most of it away!) It is amazing to me that Disney allows these three restaurants to stay open. Not only are they not Disney quality, they are poor by anyone's standards. When you consider that Disney has such quality CS establishments as Columbia Harbour House, Flame Tree, Cosmic Rays, Tusker House, etc., it is amazing to me that they allow these three places to exist.

Wow, Nine Dragons has ok ratings on allears food ratings. :( I was looking forward to having good Chinese food there, that stinks. I guess I'll go that place in Canada and have a burger instead. *sigh*

TS: Restaurant Marrakesh. Bland food (didn't taste authentic at all), poor service.

CS: Cantina de San Angel. The food was so bad here that we couldn't help but throw a lot of it away, something I hate to do. Really, really awful.

I wouldn't worry about Nine Dragons. I would trust the allears ratings. Remember many people in this forum get Nine Dragons confused with the Chinese Fast Food place right next to it or worse they go to Nine Dragons and order the same food they would order at a Chinese Fast Food place and then complain that it was no better than back home. That would be the same thing as going to a an expensive steak house like Brown Derby, The Yatchsman or Le Cellier and ordering a Hamburger and then saying the food was no good. Also keep in mind that all the Disney Restaurants have good days and bad days.

TS - H &V. Waited an hour to get seated with our ADRs (some huge overbooking issue they said), bad service and yucky food. Never again!

CS - Haven't eaten in years, but anyplace with dried out burgers and soggy fries.

I tend to agree with Randy here somewhat. I see a lot of people complain that it's no better than back home having ordered fried Rice and Sweet and Sour.

Yes we went last December, we were 4 adults and 2 kids all of us thought the food was awful. The 4 adults are not picky eaters and the kids are not as picky as most kids.

Maybe your expectations were too high. Currently (as in Dec), H&V is only open for dinner and is not a character meal.
