I'm going to try my best to summarize our whole trip in one post since I'm pressed for time. It will be short and sweet (hopefully).

Trip: 9/22-9/30
Me 31, DH 36, DD2 and DS 4
Pop Century for 3 nights... OKW for 5 nights.

We started our trip with two flight delays and finally got to the POP around 7:30 PM, we used ME so our luggage was following behind us. At this point we were starved from the running (LITERALLY) to catch flights, so we ate at the Everything POP place. Late dinner for us, and trying out the dining plan thing for the first time was a little hectic, but it worked well. Had a very lovely surprise for our kids at check in from Peggy (the basket lady!). The gifts were very much appreciated from our kids and us!

We got stuck in the 80's buildings, and the walk was harsh! But the rooms were not bad all in all. The beds were fine and we didn't hear flushing toilets or anything like that at night. There was one silverfish in the sink and a constant drip in the bathroom, but we didn't mind either too much. We DID like the resort, but I would probably pay for the priority rooms if we ever stayed there again. The kids LOVED the water fountain jet things by Goofy.

The bus service while at POP was phenomenol (in a good way). Although there was always a line to get on most buses, the buses were quick to arrive and always a next bus wasn't far off.

Let me add here that our luggage hadn't shown up by the time we went to bed, so we called the luggage service and they said not to worry that they run luggage to rooms up until 3 am and when asked what happened if our luggage wasn't there come 3 AM, she said "that NEVER happens!". Well guess who stayed up staring at the clock?! At 2:45 AM I called luggage service and got no answer... then tried front desk who ran over and found out that our luggage WAS there, but that the luggage staff and gone home and didn't come back until 7 am (we had PLANNED on EMH the next morning). She kindly told me that I could come get the luggage (remember: long walk). At 6:30 I woke DH and told him he had to go get our stuff.

Fast forward to 3 days later. We had had 2 great days at MK and one BAD day at AK (3 rides broken down due to "technical difficulties" and once while we were ON the ride). We went from POP to OKW and instantly fell in love with the resort and our 1 bedroom villa and instantly HATED the bussing service. Supposedly there is an internal bus service but after 6 days/5 nights of both of us watching - we only saw it once...no lie!

We really liked the turtle pond pool and we were just steps from in (in bldg 42). It wasn't until the night before we came home that we finally took the kids to the main pool. He LOVED the slide and I admit I tried it once and it was lots of fun. I wish we had taken him everyday. The playground by the mainpool stinks though in comparison to the one by the turtle pond pool (that one is really impressive).

On our 2nd night at OKW, we realized that my DH had the beginning of an absessed tooth (been putting off a root canal for almost 2 years) and we got prescriptions called in from his dentist but we still neede to cancel most of our dining plans including Hoop De doo :guilty: .

We KEPT: Breakfast at Cindys: worth it, if you can get it... don't feel too bad if you can't. The pictures I got of DD2 on the throne (before eating) and on spiral staircase coming all alone were my favorite parts.

Dinner at Crystal Palace: Good food, and nice atmosphere. Cut it too close to Spectromagic to get a good viewing spot though. Our PS was for 6:45 and we didn't get out of the restaurant until 7:50 and that was rushing ourselves.

Dinner at Ohanas: Great... loved the food and the atmosphere.

Breakfast with Mickey at Ohanas: same as above! Liked the way they served the food (platter in middle filled with all the food).

Lunch at Sci-Fi: This was just okay... food was so-so, but DH's tooth was pretty bad that day. I got a bar-b-q chicken sandwich and couldn't really bite through it.

1 dinner, 1 lunch and 2 breakfast at Olivias... all of it was good. Nothing spectacular, but all very good food and service.

Goods To Go twice. Good food, nice tables by the docks...perfect to watch a sunset and not crowded at all.

Captain Jacks: I had the lobster and it was alright. Wouldn't have been happy with the food if we had paid for it out of pocket though. The kids had mac & cheese which was good. DH got filet mignon which was "just okay" he says.

Earl of Sandwich: This place is overrated. The kids had a grilled cheese (blech) and a PB&J which was served on the same bread as all the rest of the subs and was toasted (blech). Our sandwiches were alright but nothing wonderful. Won't eat here again.

Our children had a wonderful time and we got to see all the parks except for Epcot which we had on the plan but changed it because I had 3 sets of people tell me down there that it wasn't suited for kids of this age (2 and 4). We don't regret it, we'll just go next time when they're older.

Any questions... please let me know. I just don't know how often I'll check the thread. BYE ;)

was not up to par .......hope that he feels better.........thanks for the reviews of your food experiences.....sounds like you hit a lot of the places regardless of DHS absess.....thanks again
