Just wondering which of the 2 waterparks is more suitable for a 3 yr old who loves the water? Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. I have never been to either but I wil be in WDW in May with my niece. Thanks :)

I think Typhoon Lagoon is better. Ketchakiddie Creek was a favorite with my almost 2 year old. Blizzard Beach seemed a little "old" for the really small kids.

I've never been to TL, but we loved BB. My son had been 3 for all of 3 weeks when we were there. They had a wonderful little kids area. It was for kids 48" and under, I think. My 6 year old daughter was able to play there too. There were little water slides and a splashing pool at the bottom that only came up to DS's knees. There were lifeguards at the top of the slides and at the bottom. I felt comfortable sitting at the edge of the splashing pool so I could watch both of my kids play.

I believe both parks also have a family raft ride and a lazy river. Both were fun! For the lazy river, there are little innertubes that don't have holes in the bottom, so little bottoms don't fall through. I was on my big tube, holding onto the handle of my son's little tube as we floated along. He had his head back, eyes closed, and said, "Mommy, this is a gweat water wide."

We had only allowed about 2-1/2 to 3 hours there on our last day. We wished we could've gone back again. The kids are already talking more about going to BB on our next trip than the theme parks!

We were at TL last October and absolutely went crazy for it. I am not a huge waterpark fan, but this was amazing. The themeing is incredible, and the kids area kept my two and five year old both very happy. They especially loved the tube ride. Little ones are able to float down a flume with some turns and rapids while the parents scamper to click pictures and snag them at the bottom. We spent literally hours there. The whole area was done to a level only to be expected at Disney. It made me a fan. We will be there next month and are going to try BB, but I want a day at TL too! It was just that good!

BTW - watch out for the wave pool, it is not at all for little people!

Have a Disney Day!

My son went to Typhoon Lagoon when he was four and loved it. We have been to Blizzard Beach as well, when he was 5 and he liked it better. I personnally think Typhoon Lagoon seemed less crowded, but both waterparks have plenty to do for the young ones.

Thank you for the great info I am really looking forward to taking my Niece.
May won't come soon enough
