? about upgrading Armed Forces Salute ticket

My cousin purchased an Armed Forces Salute last year- I believe at the end of September. He has used 3 of the 4 days. I know the ticket expires Sept. 30 and he was going to try to upgrade his ticket this weekend for the FL resident weekly select pass. Is it possible? I told him that it would still expire Sept. 30 (or 1 year from first day of use, whichever comes first) but I wasn't sure...I don't want to give the wrong information

If an Armed Forces Salute Ticket is upgraded to any level of Annual Pass the expiration date of the Pass will be one year from the date of first use of the original ticket. It is not from the date of the upgrade.

Thank you for your response! I am not sure when he first used the ticket, but I know that he said that it was purchased some time in September of last year. So it would expire one year from the first day it was used (before it was upgraded). So he can still upgrade it even with one day left?
