About to BURST into tears-- honeymoon falling on "Jersey week!"

but being from New Jersey and hearing all of the referrals to "Jersey Week", I get the feeling like we have the plague and everyone wants to avoid us. Could be just me. To the OP, several years ago, DH and I went during "Jersey week" and didn't really notice huge crowds. Then again, when I am in WDW, the crowds really don't bother me. Congrats on your honeymoon and hope you have a great time.

Jersey week is still less crowded than summer months. And the Food & Wine festival in my opinion is the absolute best. I could stay in Epcot all that week.

Not everyone in NJ goes to WDW that week.............
just most of us!!!!!!!!!

Being from Jersey, I couldn't think of a better time to go. Sure it might be a little more crowded than the week before or after, but the "crowd" is made up of the great folks from NJ, and you'd have to travel a good stretch to find a more diverse and great group of people. Of course, it will help all who go during Jersey Week if you can learn two things: How to flip the Jersey bird to line cutters, parade squashers and stroller rammers, and also the most important of all - What exit are you from?

We're arriving November 2-- OH NO! Right smack in the middle of "Jersey Week." I'd never even heard of this before! Just how crowded does it get during Jersey Week? Should we cancel and go at another time? I believe that a very crowded park will make my fiancee quite miserable. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!

What's wrong with people from NJ?

Lol... Garden State Parkway 168... or 171... :rotfl2:

It is more crowded, but really only a problem at MK as the day goes on, so get there at opening. It won't be so crowded that your honeymoon will be ruined.
Congratulations!

We were there during Jersey week two years ago. The only time we felt any difference was one afternoon at the Magic Kingdom - very crowded. If that is the case for you, just leave the busy park and head to the pool, DTD, Miniature Golf, Water Mice Boats, etc. There is so much to see and do, in addition to the theme parks, that you really won't notice excessive crowds. Relax and set an expectation for yourself of flexibility and fun. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

We were there in 2003 for Jersey week. 10-15 minute waits were the norm. At MGM we rode RNR coaster 3 times in a row.

Oh yeah, Garden State Parkway Exit 0, go any farther South and you get wet. :rotfl2:

Conflicting dates: I had heard Jersey week was the first week of November earlier this year, and then I heard it was the second week in November. Does anyone have solid dates for this? Did the dates of the teachers' convention change? We have been to WDW a couple of times during Jersey week and last year was a little more crowded, but I think it was due to the hurricane reschedulers. We didn't even really know it was Jersey week the first time. We are going 11/11 - 11/19 is this the "updated" Jersey week? THANKS!

The New Jersey NEA website has the dates for the convention as November 10-12 for 2005 and November 9-11 for 2006.

Last year we were on the Disney cruise for Jersey week.
It seemed like the whole boat was full of Jersey people.

The CM asked me, if the whole state of NJ was closed, & on our cruise.

We had the best time!!!

Does anyone know the date for NJ State Convention for 2007?

Thanks
