? about terms of National rental

I've just noticed that the last few EA reservations I've booked using DC discount are stating "A Minimum of 8 days will be charged" (that's the # of days I reserved the car). I don't recall it ever saying the minimum days charged was that long ---- I'd booked another reservation in July using a different code and it didn't say anything about a minimum charge. It just said I had to stay over Saturday night.

Not that I'm too concerned, but it sounds as if I'd have to pay for the entire 8 days if I needed to return the car early for some reason. Have I just not noticed these terms before or is it new? I don't like the sound of it.

Funny, I am using the DC code an my print out says min. 5 days will be charged. That is the cutoff for a weekly rate and it prevents people from doing a weekly rate (cause it is less expensive) and returning it after 3 days (or anything less than a 5 day period). I would call them and ask what is up.
