I really want to eat here on our next trip, but my husband is very fussy and won't eat rice/noodles/sushi etc.

Does anyone know whether they do any other food options ie burger (no flaming please).

The other option would be for him to join me for lunch but not eat.....is this an option?

Thanks

I don't think not eating is an option. The teppan yaki style is a table set for eight people with a chef doing the cooking right in front of you. And they fill in all the seats to the extent possible.

However, you might check the menus. All the meals include meat and vegetables and rice, but just tell the chef he does not want tice.

But all entrees are also stir fried with Udon noodles and mixed vegtables. It sounds like the OP DH would not eat this meal.
I agree with Cheshire Figment, not eating would most likely not be an option.
No flames intended, but if your DH won't eat the food served, I think your only option is to find a restuarant you can both enjoy. I can't imagine even asking if they would cook a burger, and I can't imagine the answer would be yes.

Teppan Edo has steak, chicken, shrimp....pretty normal stuff. My best friend joined us for dinner and she was adament that she didnt like the food and would not eat. So her husband, Todd and I all ate and she started sneaking food off her DH plate and she loved the steak and chicken. THey didnt charge her for sharing but she said the next time we go she would eat.

They serve white rice in a small dish. The noodles and veggies are cooked together and then they cook whatever meat you order. Each is served separately. That has been my experience the last three times we have gone. Disney is very accommodating so I am sure they could help you out and I don't think they can make anyone eat. I would hate to see you miss the experience, we just love it! :thumbsup2

When my DS was 6 and still quite picky (he is much better now he's 14:thumbsup2) we brought ketchup packets into then Teppanyaki because it was his first time eating at that type of place. He ordered steak and chicken combo so he could try both and he did eat them with the ketchup which the chef thought was funny but it helped make the food more "normal" for my son.

Now Teppan food is one of his favs and last trip he even tried a bite of the seaweed salad!:yay:

Tell your DH to move out of his comfort zone a bit and give Teppan Edo a try!

Thanks guys. I want to
eat here and all holiday we will be eating together, why should I give up my chance
to try somewhere new? I have already said he won't eat noodles/rice so best option sounds like to split up ( for lunch anyway)

Will he not even eat plain steamed white rice with grilled meat of some meat or combo of meat (steak/chicken/shrimp)

I understand being picky, but even my most picky of friends will eat plain grilled meat and a side of steamed white rice.

Just split up. No big deal. There are so many other places that he would enjoy. :thumbsup2

As others have said, consider asking for the rice/noodles on the side. We ate there a few years ago & the main choices were meat, shrimp & chicken.

We actually really enjoyed the meal & the chefs put on a great show while cooking your supper. Have him eat what he wants/likes and enjoy the show.

We ate there last summer. Our son has issues with what he can eat, and have always had great luck with restaurants accomodating his needs, until we ate there last summer! Don't count on them doing anything different than exactly what is on the menu. We just wanted to substitute an extra order of noodles instead of meat, and they wouldn't help us out. We had to order a full meal off the menu, and the meat went to waste. He ended up eating all of his noodles, and then mine in order to have enough to eat. If was very frustrating. (Compared to other restaurants where the chef would come out and talk to us and go out of his way to accomodate our needs.)
