If you go to a tanning bed and take a shower about an hour afterwards....is that ok or should you wait longer?
I have heard different things about that....one is it's ok to shower right after and someone else told me not for 4 hours!

it kinda depends on the lotion you use.
I know I've used some in the past with "tingle" factors (do not attempt a high tingle factor lotion if you are new to tanning/tingle...start off slow)
those "continue" the development of color up to 3 hours after tanning. (yes, so you are nice and stinky for a couple hours!)
tingle lotions bring blood up to the surface of the skin - so you may look "burnt" but you are not...yes the skin is red, but you are fine.
yeah - the first few times. I remember the first time I tried a tingle lotion...the girl said to me "try this" and gave me a free sample.
ok
well, I was in the stand up machine...which (for one) had no top...and very little fan (it was an OLD set up - the beds at this place were nice - but the stand up was like a SWEAT BOX...) Anyway...I put the stuff on...get in, yell out "ok!" and she fires up the machine.
I swear to god, about 5 minutes in I'm yelling "STEPHANIE!!! WHAT THE BLEEP DID YOU GIVE ME?!?!?!?" heheheh My face was BURNING.
she told me to go home after and have a glass of milk and to NOT shower for 3-4 hours. sure enough...it worked. hehehe after that, I could "handle" the tingle better.
yes, I got to tanning beds often...I'm aware of the dangers.
