I thought I read here some time ago if you book on SWA and they come out with a promotion they will refund the difference if you call them. Is that true? If so do they give it back in money or vouchers.

re-booking on SWA is fairly straightforward. Click on the Travel Center portion of the website, in the first column there is a link that says change intinerary. That should walk you through all the necessary steps to re-book.

SWA only gives vouchers, unless it is a refundable fare.

Keep in mind there has to be promotional seats available on your flight. If you have a choice flight such as Friday night or Saturday morning non-stop there may not be any promotional seats available. You'll then have to either keep the higher fare or change your flight.

The fare on my 4 tickets dropped by $10.00 ea. (Same flights, same time and days available)

When I called, they gave a $40.00 credit towards a future ticket purchase, valid for 12 months. I was told just to use my confirmation# and the credit would show up when making future reservations.

Hope this helps!

Last year we had seats using the Friends Fly Free promotion costing about $134.00/person (after discount). They came out with a new promotion for $118.00/person.

When I called, they refuned my $ on my credit card. All but the last $10.00. I didn't push them for that. It was just great getting anything back.

I love them.

Hi T & E's Mom!

We'll be on the same cruise with you! 8/14/04 Western Magic.

We have 2 boys who'll be 11 and 6 at the time. How old are your kids?

Poly Pal

I have girl/boy twins who will be 6 at that time. Right now I have 2 cabins booked because we want to ask DMIL to go, but I have a feeling that she's going to say no. We asked her to go on a 3-4 night cruise over Veteran's Day and she said no. If she doesn't go I'm going to press DH to stick with our plan to go on the cruise, it will be 2 1/2 years since our last cruise and the kids keep asking to go back. It's good to hear that someone else is booked the same time we are. I keep checking the cruise board, but no threads yet for our sailing date.

Sorry if I'm OT!

T&E's Mom, what a coincidence! MY MIL and FIL were interested in cruising with us too. My kids would have loved having their grandpa with them! I was all set to book 2 cabins until they said "no" once it got time to make a deposit. (We're already spending a week with them at their condo in Florida next April - so, maybe too much togetherness?)

Have a great wekend!

My FIL died unexpectedly in March at the age of 59. It was a huge shock to us-he never had any health problems-had a massive heart attack at work and died instantly. We're taking MIL to Universal over Veteran's Day. I asked her about a cruise then and she said no-that she was afraid of water. I'm keeping her cabin for now since it's hard to get connecting cabins. I wish I would have had a great weekend. DS ran a fever Wed & Thurs, DD and I had a fever Fri & Sat. So we'll see how Sun goes for us.
