We have not yet decided if we are driving or flying. If we fly, we will book our own airfare to try to get a cheaper rate?

Can we still get a shuttle from MCO? How often do they run? What's the fee?

I found another post that says limos would be good as well. Can they fit 4 adults and 4 small children (3 to 7 yo)?

Does anyone have phone numbers or names of limo service?

http://www.fltours.com/rates.htm#dcl This is the company the DISboards recommend.

You can also try Tiffany Towncar or Happy Limo.

They all have shuttle vans for about $180 or Limos that will seat 8 for a bit more money.

Disney's shuttle will cost you quite a bit more than the $180 you would pay for a van.

We decided to use the DCL shuttle in November because my sister and I will be traveling with 3 little girls under the age of six....and with the DCL shuttle we check our bags at Boston's Logan and we don't see them again until they "magically" appear at our room on the Magic. This was worth it to us. I think it is around $45 pp for the DCL shuttle.

I would recommend using a car service instead of the shuttle. For a family of 8, you'd be paying at least $450. if shuttle prices have not gone up in the last year. We used Happy Limo and got a 10 passenger van for $145 last Jaunuary when there were 10 people in our group. In May, when our group was 5 people, we hired Cartier Towncar and splurged for the limo for $240. It didn't save us a lot of money over the shuttle, but was much nicer. The car services meet you at baggage and get your bags for you, so that's a nice perk. I believe the previous poster used Disney Air. If you are using Disney Air, your luggage is handled from your destination to your stateroom, but if you book the air on your own, you are responsible for your luggage.
I've also used the Disney Shuttle, but that was before I found these boards and didn't know any better. The shuttles aren't bad and they show you a movie about the cruise to get you in the mood, but they aren't as convenient. You have to wait until the shuttle is full before heading to the port.
