I know the resort will be fine- what worries me is the transportation. :scared: I have lots of questions for anyone that has stayed there and actually used the Bonnet Creek Shuttles

What are they like: a Mears shuttle, a van or what?

How many will one hold (going with a group of 12).

How often do they run in the morning and how late in the evening?

Do they take you right to the parks or to the TTC and then you catch Disney trans to your desired park?

We are flying and do not wish to rent 3 cars or 2 mini-vans for our group of 12, but we're just unsure of getting to/from the parks. 2 out of the 3 families going have never stayed off-site so we're used to Disney carting us around

Thanks!

We stayed at BC last month but didn't use the shuttle (had a rental) but you have to reserve the shuttle 24 hrs in advance for the morning departures.

The shuttles I saw could hold more than 12 people.

If you call the resort (407) 238-3500 they should be able to give you all the details and put you in contact with the shuttle company.

hope that helps...

I haven't stayed there yet, but recently purchased a Wyndham/Fairfield timeshare to stay there in the future.

I would never consider staying there without a car. If you search this board, you'll find several first-hand experiences with the shuttle service posted in the last several months, and while it sounds serviceable, it's only barely so.

Thanks for your input. I searched, but all I came up with were what people *knew* about the shuttle service- I hadn't found anyone that had actually used it (that tells me something ) Guess I'll search a little deeper.

Thanks again- and if anyone out there has actually used the service please post :)

I have called the resort because we have considered staying there. They told me you DO NOT have to call to reserve, they run several times during the day and evening. To be honest, I don't remember the exact times, but it seemed adequate. I do remember that it is not Mears. I don't know the size of the vehicle. I suggest calling the resort and also looking on Trip Advisor.com for recent reviews/pics. The resort is rated highly among travelers.

Hmmm, that must be really new. Every search I did mentioned calling ahead- sounds great to me though! Thanks for the info :)

My friend called the resort to find out about them, but I really want opinions of 'real' Dis Vacationers that have experienced the shuttle service. Having never dealt with being off-site we're just really curious about that part of the trip.

We will be at Bonnet Creek with a group of 12 in May. I will let you know what we think when we get home! We are planning on renting three cars though. We rented through Dollar with the Code KISS2. We are getting a compact car for around $135 for the week. It was the cheapest way to get us to Bonnet Creek. How are you planning on getting from the airport to Bonnet Creek? Plus for that rate, we like having the flexibility to eat off site and to go grocery shopping.

Plus there's more to the area than just Disney ;)

I heard that the shuttle service is a lot better but I would suggest getting a rental car. Also, get a Van if you have that many people, its a lot cheaper. We are getting a total of 3 rental cars for 14 people. Worse case, can always get a cab to go from point A to B.
