Ok for the past two yrs we have done pop resort in July and since we will not be able to do Disney next yr I am already thinking of a trip in sept 09 just to try it out. I know it seems so far away but time fly's when you plan for Disney. My question is I'm already looking into staying from Sept 30 to Oct 7 and am wondering if there are usually any perks offered during that time? We want to try all star movies. I'm also interested in taking him to the MNSSHP and was wondering how far in advance do you buy the tickets for this event?. This will be our first time going during this time of a yr what can I expect as far as crowds, weather, price( this is value season right?) park hrs etc. Thanks for helping me not go nutty LOL.

I think the FREE DP is avaiable around this time. My diz girlfriend and her DH went in Sept 06 and had that and said she never ate better.

I've went 2 times in late Aug/Sept and hit nothing but rain, we were mighty wet...just keep that in mind

Hope others will have some good info for you and it's never too early to plan for some Disney Magic in your life!:smickey:

Who knows what will happen 2 years from now?? ...but for the past 2 years this would have been during free DDP. :thumbsup2 This year the free DDP ends at the end of September. But, they may rearrange it again... or for that matter not offer it at all. One can hope at least that they will continue... but those dates will at least be during the value rate period if not the free DDP. We stayed at ASM our first trip staying on property, and it is still my favorite! (We have stayed at POP also, but really loved ASM as you really are immersed in Disney movie magic pixiedust: there. With kids growing up watching all the Disney videos/DVDs, it was really magical for them seeing larger than life Buzz and Woody, Herbie, etc.) :wizard:

As far as the crowds :crowded: go, that time of year is perfect. Also, you have the possibility of a little cooler weather, albeit there's no guarantee (successive 98 degree days in July and August can really get miserable). We have been the past four times during Sept and Oct and we will hardly consider going any other times because of the crowds being so light. We have been able to virtually ride what we want when we want.

As for the park hours, they're pretty standard (EPCOT FW 9-7, WS 11-9/ MK 9-9 or 10, except Fridays 9-6/ AK 9-5/ MGM 9-8) not including extra magic ... and then you get the bonus extra magic mornings and evenings if you're staying on property.

I say, go for it! You may get hooked on it like we are... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
