With so much extra to see at Christmas time, I'm not sure we will make it to Downtown Disney to see Santa. Will we be missing anything? Are there any special Disney touches or is it a basic Santa? Anyone have any pictures to share? Is Santa at MVMCP? We actually have a wonderful Santa at our local mall with a real beard and all, just wondered how the Downtown Disney experience was.

Thanks!

We have visited him the past 2 years and I think he is a really good santa. Real beard and round tummy. Never have had to wait more than 5 mins. and the pictures are very good and very reasonable in price.
Have fun :wave2:

You'll also have a chance to see Santa on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. He was great, the kids loved him, even DD who used to be afraid of him. If you want to see him with no wait, try to get there early in the day. The line was outrageous later in the night. Here's a picture of us with Santa.

Then there's also all of the Holiday Storytellers at each country in Epcot. Pere Noel in France and Father Christmas (I think) in Canada were our favorites.

So in my opinion, if you're at Downtown Disney, then he's worth seeing. Otherwise I wouldn't make a special trip.

Hope this helps.

Personally, I thought the Downtown Disney Santa was excellent! He was so real that my son told me "See mom, Disney is such a special place that when Santa sends his helpers to all the other places, the real Santa comes here."

That being said, we did have our sons picture taken..they put a border around the picture that was really cute..it was definately worth our stop in DT Disney!

Does anyone know what time he gets there? We've been twice, but both times were at night and this trip we will only be at DD during the day. (I'll try to see if I can post our picture.)

I hope Santa and Mrs Santa are in the U.S. at Epcot again this year. They were perfect!

Well I thought the DTD santa was great. I told him I only wanted one thing for Christmas.....to come back to disney some time soon. I gues he granted my wish cause I returned last July!!!

My son said the same thing!!! when we had their pictures taken with him in 2003 (when my son was 5yrs). We loved the pictures from that year- it's the only year that we have all 3 smiling beautifully with Santa. I guess nothing makes them scared (youngest always scared of Santa before then and even after then!) while at WDW!

We saw santa at DTD a few years ago near the beginning of Dec. There was noone with him so he spent quite a bit of time talking with my boys. He was great! Also, next to him was set up a table that they could decorate sugar cookies for free. There were also some musical groups playing near him. Everything is very festive there and we're heading back this year!
