I have not rented a car but a few times...

We are looking at needing one for 12 days for our trip. With the great wekly rate specials is it normally cheaper to just do for 2 full weeks rather than a week plus 5 days on a daily rate?:confused3

Advice form anyone who knows abou tthis stuff would be appreciated!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

I am not sure what the answer is to your question but I do recommend trying it both ways and seeing for yourself. I would also try it with all of the different car rental companies. Mousesavers.com has a transportation link with various rental car codes for discounts. Depending on the discounts, it could go either way. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get a good rate.

Weekly rates are usually a much better deal, but if you return the car early, your rate will be adjusted back to the higher daily rate. You have to keep the car for the full weekly rental period to get the lower rate. I would check pricing both ways with various companies.

A weekly period at most rental car companies is 5,6, or 7 days. So a 12 day rental would be considered 2 weeks.
