Can anyone tell me about the long term parking options available at Philly's airport? Onsite and offsite. Thanks.

Sylvia

We usually use the terminals long term parking site and it's about $7 per day....

Thank you for the info. Their website lists a remote parking lot for approx. $7/day. I assume this is the lot you are referring to. Is it secure, do they patrol the lot? We normally fly out of Newark, NJ; so we know nothing about Philly's airport.

We park there at least once a year (sometimes twice)... never have had a problem...The shuttle picks you up at a stop not at your car as some sites futher off site advertise...I've seen security cars roam the lot...so I guess it's as secure as most airport sites...Never have tried the other sites because it seems like to much of a hassle to find where they are for me but I do have friends that swear by them...I personally like being next to the terminal...

PS did you read my post about airfare???

I have used several of the offsite parking lots that drive you to and pick you up from the airport in your own car. I was always able to use $5 a day coupons from the Sunday travel section in the Inquirer. (Most accept competitors coupons.) However, this year, all I've seen are $7.95 a day which seems a bit steep, plus we are going for two weeks. So, I have to debate this issue until August-I really hate to bother people early in the morning to get there/return, etc. For $5 they are worth it, but, $8 seems too much this year! Must say, that those we used were fast, efficient, and polite. Never used the long term parking at the airport lot-sorry.

Disneymomma.....can I ask what offsite parking you used? We always use an offsite parking system and one even offered a free carwash! Have you come across this one? I cant for the life of me remember it. What is your fav site to use? Thanks

it was either Winner or Pacifico. I will try to find my old paperwork from previous trips and find out exactly for you today when I get time.

Not sure where you are coming from to get to the airport, but you might want to consider this if you are close to the trains. We take the "Airport" trains right to the airport, this way it doesn't cost to have you car parked at the airport and then you can leave your car at home safe and sound. I can't remember whether it costs $6 one way or round trip.....but it literally takes you right to the terminal you need to go to. I've used this before and think it's great and plan to do it in Sept. when I head to WDW.

Thanks Disneymomma I would def appreciate that if you get a chance to lok it up. Pacifico is rinnging a bell though. I am getting so excited for our Sept trip!

WDW Kim.... I never thought about taking the train. We do have a sation near by but it takes over an hour to get to the city so am not sure it would be worth it.

We always park at Kinney out on Essington Ave. and have them shuttle us over. We like that they have a security guard in the tower at night watching the lot. With AAA it's about $6-7 a day, and we never have to search for a spot. They also help with bags right to the curb.

Just wanted to add that the train does not start running until 5:30 AM, so that affects those with early morning flights, otherwise, a great idea.
