We are doing a girls only trip in September with my Mom flying in on American and my DD and I flying USAir. Our flights arrive within 40 minutes of each other, one on A side and one on B side. We plan to meet up after claiming our baggage. Can you get from baggage claim side A to baggage claim side B, and if so, how?

Here's a website for MCO:

Both sides meet on level 3. You can cross level 3 without going through security. If the A person is arriving first, I would suggest they get their luggage (level 2), go up to level 3 and over to B baggage claim and wait for the other by USAir's baggage carousels. USAir has 2 or 3 carousels at the end of level 2, they have a baggage office right there that the first person could wait by. It's not a real large area, you should be able to find each other easily. If the luggage is too much to carry easy, rent a cart for $2 and use the elevators between levels. There is a large board in the center of level 3 that lists all airlines arrivals/departures, the first person can check the status of the second persons flight there. There is also a USAir monitor in baggage claim. I'm not familiar with American's baggage area to give you any ideas if you want to do it the other way around. Good Luck and have a great time!

The main terminal of MCO is a rectangle where A is one long side and B is the other long side. If the airlines you are trying to go between are opposite each other, getting from A to B is shorter than from one end of A to the other end of A or from one end of B to the other end of B.
